So her I am....in Ozemmar trying to get the help of th dwarves (I am level 15 at the moment)....and level scalling has been bothering me for some time now...
SPOILER
So I finnaly finish the final battle in the arena with no diff at all (on nightmare)....then I go in the carva lair and want do I notice? Evry single bandits uses scatter shots....I mean WOW just WOW...what kind of stupide design is this?
We are supposed to be a great hero that is powrful and all....but every single thug in the game can use all the same abilities as YOU?! WTF
I won't even start talking about Item Scalling...
Genlock using scattr shot..... and simple hurlock using last warrior abilities....
Why did they not encounter scale if they wanted to add a form of level scalling?
And don't start saying that level scalling is good for freedom because it is NOT!!!!
Look at the BG series....we had MUCH MORE freedom than DA:O and it had NO LEVEL SCALLING
This is just a stupide marketing design...again...
It a sham because I am playing the dwarf noble origin and I wanted to get the dwarves help last because I knew it would be the part I would like the most (story wise) but then you got level scalling...
The migthy Grey Warden who took down a dragon gets killed by 5 thugs!!!! WOW
Constant challenge is plain stupide!
List of why Lvel Scalling is an abomination to RPG:
1- Kills sense of progression (no immersion....it always the same level of challenge...)
2- Loot system is plain stupide...think oblivion with bandits wit hglass armor...well in DA:O it thugs with dragonmail
3- Leveling up is useless....it actually more intelligent to stay level 1....
4- A band of wolf is harder than a GOD DAM Elite warrior or hero
5- More, more and more!
WE DON'T WANT LEVEL SCALLING!
I am going to wait that tehre is a mod out there that eliminates level scalling so I can enjoy the game again....
P.S: Sorry for my bad english it not my first language
I would also add that a lot of polls on the net proves that people hate level scalling in general
