Hey, don't question it. On Noveria, one outran some rabid Rachni. They're fast little bastards, you just never see 'em run because it's done and over with so quickly.

I always imagined they tucked their head down and rolled. They have the neck for it.

SO - Can't wait to see the Volus Biotic Bounce attack!

Also think of other Power Varients like - MP Co-op!
Krogan can use Volus as Biotic Bowlling Balls that the Volus player can control direction once thrown for a short time. Volus would be immune as they roll up like armadillos.
This could also be used as their tatic to escape, they curl up and roll!
....and once their roll finishes they come out of it in a biotic flash like a 3m radius warp effect....

aoplogies if I offended any Armadillos in this.
or got their lore wrong.....

I'm seriously loving BetrayerOfNihil's posts as of late.

And no, Machazareel. Most of the anti-volus crowd doesn't hate volus we just understand the simple concepts that all point to "they're incredibly unqualified to do these types of strike op missions". The only race I actually hate is batarians but I'm fine with them being added because they can actually fight.

Hey, I don't disagree with you on that. I just don't really care all that much, either. I don't mind lore departing a bit (or a lot, in this case) from the MP, but that's just me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter.

Play a game or two with them first, you can't judge a group by a few individuals, but I agree that there will be a lot of people only using the Volus as a joke character.

I will use him even solo with him. They woulndt add a volus just to be a sitting duck. Everyone hated the ACOLYTE at first but once given a chance in the right hands can be very destructive. Being able to use many characters affectively, even the most hated is true skill indeed. Many said the ACOLYTE was a waste of brain power. Im not bragging but i soloed Platinum with it.

So adding a volus wouldnt be bad at all.

A volus isn't bad, but 4? What a waste of space. I can understand the adept, maybe the vanguard, but the other two are needless and could be replaced with far more enticing characters.
