So, since thursday (even before the patch) I'm having massive connection issues with Mass Effect 3. I am getting the same "Mass Effect 3 Servers not available atm" message that is being mentioned by several other guys here. When I try to reconnect via the button at the bottom right in the main menu it usually works after some tries. The thing is, once it does connect, everything seems to work just fine. Except for one other thing I will come to now. (That's the reason I opened up a new thread)

When it does work and I can play multiplayer, I'm having issues with the ingame voice chat. Whenever somebody else uses the voice chat, I don't hear them talking, but instead get really loud static noise. First time this problem occured was yesterday, so it kind of coincides with the connection issues.

The thing is, everything was working pretty much fine for months now - aside from the occasional disconnect during multiplayer - up until thursday (as I said, it started before the patch). I tried repairing the installation, even reinstalled the game (which was kind of a pita with having te redownload all the dlc). It didn't help a thing. I can't tell for sure if the ingame voice chat thing is resolved now, because I haven't been able to connect after reinstalling the game at all so far. Will give an update, when I find out more.

I set up port rules in my router for ports 5659, 3659 and 6000, but to no avail. I'm using Win7 home 64 bit.

Any suggestions at least for the voice chat thing maybe ?

UPDATE:
Well I was finally able to connect (for now) again after what felt like a thousand tries and can now confirm, that the voice chat problem still exists as well, despite reinstalling the game.

UPDATE II: After checking the Resmon, port 3659 seems to be the correct one. JFYI

Update III: The store is also giving me grief. 2 out of 3 times when I enter it, I loose connection.

I am experiencing somewhat similar issues. The disconnects have increased considerably since thursday. In the past there would be a disconnect now and then and I would just shrug it off. But now I'm getting a number of disconnects each and every day. I do play mostly with friends and in private lobbies, so mostly I can get back in the game and not lose everything.

But when I do reconnect and rejoin, I can't hear the other players on the ingame teamspeak. No static noise or anything, there's just silence.

And when we get to the lobby after the game, my mic/speaker symbol is red.

The only thing that fixes this, is to shut down the game and relaunch.

massive, huge, colossal, there are many GOOD terms to describe the magnitude of "connection issues" we are getting recently, but the best is "pathetic".

I can connect to MP, but I can list what happened to me and still happen:
- game requesting online pass
- "load failed. cannot connect to server"
- MP Manifest/ Galaxy at War no longer updates
- the origin client logged out by itself, I tried to login again and it said my password was wrong and just let me in when I changed the password... wth???

good job EA/Bioware :)

Same here. And also in the games today I had other things:
- A partner disappear, he was still playing but I could only see his name floating around (he was using cerberus human adept).
- Fighting cerberus the phantoms were invisibles for me, the killed me a few times.

I also have trouble with my ME3 after the new patch. The game disconnects more often than before, and the Galaxy at War map doesn't update... I won three matches today and the galactic readiness didn't change at all.

The issue resolved itself (at least for now). Seems like they just had some Server issues with the new patch and in preparation for the new dlc

Forwarding ports only help you to connect with your friends, and the ones you mention are wrong anyway, not your fault a lot of wrong information on this forums and ea support doesn't have the correct info either. It's UDP3659 that's it, get it right people.

I am fairly sure that this is not a problem on my side. It did work for a while on monday after all and for a long time before thursday.

They've introduced all kinds of connectivity issues over these past few couple of months. It takes forever just to connect to the master server. Navigating the game's menu, item store and co-op lobby is a pain in the ass because the game constantly needs to connect to EA's servers. Voice chat never really worked but the connection issues have definitely become much worse. How about upgrading your ****ty network, EA? Invest some of that DLC money back into your game's for a change.

I've been getting connection issues recently as well. Connecting to EA servers, finding, or trying to host games takes noticeably longer.

I also am completely unable to join or host for certain friends (it's weird, it only happens to certain friends). They either get an endless joining game... screen while trying to join me, or I get it when trying to join them.

Anybody have any idea what might be going on? Playing on PC, btw.  I've also tried port forwarding, and everything should be working 100%, but simply isn't.

Not to mention experience and credits that sometimes aren't awarded...

Wow, this game really hates. Now, to top it all off, Origin just randomly disconnects from the Internet --> Disconnect from the game --> You get where this leads...

this is the exact same problem I'm having. Worked fine up till I downloaded the new DLC and got disconnected Thursday, haven't been able to reconnect or talk on PC, I get crazy static.

I also have the same problems since the past week's thursday. The last time I could play multiplayer was tuesday, this week. The Origin disconnection case happened yesterday while I was playing single-player, and I could not go back online.
It would be nice if EA/Bioware could give information about what is going on, and about the expeted date when the servers will be in fully working condition again.
Maybe applying some reaper technology could solve the problem. ;)

This is so frustrating, it takes forever to connect only to get disconnected in random wave. Pandora and Dunwall here i come.

There was a Server blackout yesterday for a while, that might explain your Origin disconnect.

Two. Weeks. Today I joined the "try to connect over and over" club despite the fact that I believe it was Einstein who said "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." Over an hour and a fair few games of sudoku later and Einstein's words still ring true. The only thing I accomplished was the error message taking less time to show up.

Hey bigfutus, can I borrow your sig? PS: Maybe wait for reviews before checking out Dunwall - I've heard rumors about gameplay time being something like 4 hours.

i was again able to play for a couple of hours tonight without problems. Voice Chat worked as well. After loosing connection while entering the store (I did enter the store before that without problems a couple of times), now I can't connect anymore again.
Now, how is this supposed to be a problem on my side....

Also, I am curious, if and when EA Support is going to react to my request....

This story sounds just like mine. My main problem is I have tried accessing the multiplayer store dozens of times over the past several days for hours, and every time except FOR ONE, the game loses connection upon trying to enter the store.

When it does fail as it has been 95% of the time, I have to close out the game (after the server takes several minutes to return me to the title page and inform me that yes, indeed, the server is currently not available) and then most importantly I have to also disconnect and then reconnect to my wireless route's internet before relaunching ME3 otherwise the game will without fail inform me on the title screen that the server is (still) not available and it's unable to go online.

Sometimes, I've had to even include the step of restarting my computer between game launches to get the server connection to go through properly. This is a joke. For now, I guess I'm just stuck with only playing online matches and collecting credits until this problem is fixed, but it would be nice to begin trying to unlock all the new online DLC content.
