So I am tired of the DA current plot,it's all about the mage-templar problem, and every mage will be against the templars and with the mages,it also makes your PC mage pushed towards the decision help the mages becouse you are a mage.I hate this. Why can't a mage companion be like this:

-His whole familiy was slaughtered by blood mages when he was 6,before anyone knew he was a mage,he escaped from the blood mages but he was alone and afraid, untill his future mage mentor Malon found him on the streets. His future mentor saw that he had the gift of magic and took him in his house to save him from the templars,Malon tought the circle was a cruel place,he was an apostate.Malon tought the six year old boy that not all mages are bad and that they do not deserve to be locked in a tower,Malon hated blood mages and demons and abominations and tought the boy to never use blood magic or listen to demons, the boy showed great potential in magic,Malon mostly tought him how to fight other mages, the boy became like a mage/templar,becouse 90% of his skills were for fighting blood mages and abominations, but even Malon was vounrable to demons, when the boy was 14 the nearby circle of magi in Ferelden became a disaster, blood mages and abominations everywhere,Malon and the boy lived near lake calenhead, some of the abominations, blood mages and a desire demon broke into their house,Malon fought them and killed all of them to protect the boy,but the desire demon tempted him,he never experienced the power of blood magic,he wanted it,he ressisted it his whole life, but he was tired and exhousted from all the fighting, but still his only desire was to protect the boy,he offered the demon to take his body and kill him and do with him whatever desire demons do with them, but she had to leave the boy alone, and so she did.The boy was in hiding in a closet,he saw everything what happened,he didn't understand that Malon saved him,he tought even malon feel to the temptation of the demons, the only mage he ever trusted after what happened to his family, fell to the demons tempting,he started to believe that his gift is a curse, and that he is a curse,he also saw countless murders of innocents in Lake Calanhad done by mages.10 years have passed,The boy is now a man,a mage, his only wish is to kill every mage in Theadas, and when he's done, kill himself. He knows that every mage is capable only of destruction, his family was killed by mages, his mentor was also a dirty sick mage(he tought that). At least his mentor tought him how to fight blood mages, and he has perfected that skill over the ages, now his only wish is to slaughter every mage, and your Inqusitor can help him do that. There will be special dialouge if the inquisitor is a mage, but he will aceppt that you are a mage easily thinking, that it's OK to work with one mage,as long as it gives me an opprotunity to kill more of them.

-Friendship path:He learns that not all mages are bad and starts to be a normal person,he is HARDEND,he gets more healing power

-Rivaly  path-You increased his hate for the world,he has so much fury that he is a living nightmare for every mage.

Companion quest-With his mentor who was able to escape from the desire demon,

Do you like it guys :D?

While we are at it we should also include a pro mage freedom support seeker and templar companions.

Oh sorry i misread it,you said companions,I read charathers.Since there were so many rebel mage loving templars in DA2 a companion would be a better way to implement this I think thana bunch of NPCs who just annoy you...

There was some crazy mage in DA:O who thought that the Circle getting Annulled was a good thing.

looks good but should be the other way around

-Rivaly path:He learns that not all mages are bad and starts to be a normal person,he is HARDEND,he gets more healing power

-Friendship  path-You increased his hate for the world,he has so much fury that he is a living nightmare for every mage.

because it's a rivalry if you're changing core things about him and friendship if your agreeing with him about mages:D

I'd rather have origins type companions: Down to earth (mostly) with their quirks rather than Da2's extremist on every angle. (Varric seems to be an exception here.)

I like most of your back-story idea (spelling aside, lol).

I also think a true pro-Templar mage (as opposed to just an anti-mage mage) is a great idea too, like they lived in a circle and were not mistreated by the Templar and so they don't want to be a rebel and fight with the Templar that have cared for and protected them.

Then i guess you would like TCBC Freak's suggestion, which i persoanally also like.I guess his companion would be something like Wynne but with less understanding of mages and more supporting the templars. But yeah,my companion would be an extremist, and that's why I like my idea,he would just be so unique and unexpected,he would definitly stand out :).

If both of our ideas got taken and used, that could lead to some party conflict I think, espically because it'd be different. They are both against a mage rebellion but for different reasons and with different goals, even though they'd be on the same side they would butt heads a lot I bet. I'd pay to see that.

I'm thinking more of a mage that finds this war pointless. (Under the assumption that he is aware of the details of what happened in Asunder). Since extremists on both sides started the conflict. He personally knows and sympathizes with particular mages and templars, but as far as he is concerned he just wants to get them out of this alive.

Not pro-chantry? She's freaks out if you destroy the ashes of andraste, and being pro-circle is being pro-templar because the templars run the circle

She wants the Circles reformed so that the mages are more in control.  She opposes rebellion because it would get everyone killed.  She's an Aequitarian, like Irving, not a loyalist.

Andraste isn't the Chantry, no matter how much the Chantry itself might wish to equate the two..  Though Wynne isn't anti-Chantry, she's just not particularly pro it either.

She was pro-chantry. I remember in the conversations you could have she talked about advice given to her by a revered mother, and how as she grew up she realized how true that priests words were, and how she kept finding herself in the chapel, and how she realized how alike she was to the priest

Wynne was Pro-Whatever Side Results in the Most Good Being Done. Seriously. Wynne's position is to support whatever saves the most innocent lives. If she was "pro-Chantry," it was because she didn't want to see people die in a conflict between templars and mages. She attacks you for defiling the Ashes because a) you're helping a murderous dragon cult that will only wreak havoc in Ferelden and B) because the Ashes could help a lot of people.
