 So I really enjoyed the Dominating insanity Vanguard build from ME2 but I think Nova killed the vanguard. It makes the game way too easy compared to every other class(Don't hate me, just my opinion). Any ME2 style builds that would work that anyone knows of?

Okay. Mass Effect 3's only difference is the addition of Nova.
Avoid nova like the plague if your intention is to create a Mass Effect 2 style Vanguard.


But if you're looking for a Mass Effect 1 style vanguard.

You remove charge and nova altogether and add one of the following bonus powers:

Marksman
Fortification
Carnage
Barrier
Reave
Slam


Voila a traditional vanguard.


Too be honest I rarely use Nova. I want to keep my barrier up as much as I possibly can. Nova depletes my precious barrier.

This is close: Commander Shepard, the honorary krogan Battlemaster.

Other than that, any non-Nova build would be ME2-like.
