Reposting for those who can't be bothered to read the thread fist.
Surely a volus vanguard makes much more sense than a volus engineer, considering that they can't run very fast, and so charge would help them get around the field. Also; we have met about 3, maybe 4 volus in the whole of ME, so who's to say that they don't have some prototype armor, or even just armor in general, since all of the others wear a 'civilian' outfit.
Nothing the return of Omni-gel won't patch up.LadyNemsis21 wrote...
Aren't volus supposed to blow up if their suits are punctured? Or their skin tears.

Their atmosphere is absurdly high-pressure, and it's full of gasses that are absolutely toxic to most species in the game. If they exploded whenever the suit were punctured, they wouldn't be allowed near anyone else, because they'd basically function as walking toxic bombs if one were ever shot, or maybe even if they just tripped. The suits have to have some redundancies. That aside, lore-wise, why are you perfectly okay with an Asari having a Banshee palmforced through her chest, and getting up a few minutes later, battle-ready?LadyNemsis21 wrote...

The Vorcha are already in the game... And let's be honest: Half of the stuff they say is a jokeUpirNoir wrote...
Yeah I have seen it. I figured something along those lines as well. Beware of the charging *hiss shhhhh* breath *hiss shhh* bubble....El_Chala_Legalizado wrote...
Have you seen his Biotic Charge? Is amazing:UpirNoir wrote...
Wow, a Volus Engineer is at least kind of conceivable (although I don't like that idea either) and the Adept goes along with the "biotic God" stuff, but a vanguard ? Really ? I still hope this is just a massive troll by BioWare....

But in all seriousness, I don't see how volus could be implemented without turning the whole thing into a giant lulzfest. Let's see how it turns out, if it turns out that way.....

Codex entries mention Volus having ground troops that they support the Turians with, when needed. We've only ever met civilians, but lore-wise, they exist. Realistically, they must have better suits more suitable for combat, but it isn't lore-defying.Tankcommander wrote...

F**k we are getting volus. Very disappointed.
Yeah, and up to this point the lore was decently upheld (Don't give me the crap about us killing infinite mobs), but Volus? Give me a break.
Having Volus that are willing to fight is one thing. Having Volus that are capable of keeping up with the best Special Forces troops in galaxy is stretching believability a little bit too far, IMO.
And looking at those images again, will the Volus even be able to hold most of the weapons in the game? I mean, try imagining one of those Volus with a Revenant, or even a Harrier. It doesn't look like their character model is even capable of holding two-handed weapons. Unless Volus will be restricted to Pistols and SMGs (and I think taking 1/4 of the DLC classes and restricting them to two weapon types would be stupid).
They're definitely not a bad photoshop. Also, the 'edit' bits at the bottom address this. I agree; they may be trolling us. But I don't see why they would.White Flag wrote...
They can be hosted by Bioware and still be fake. Have you considered that, OP?

You people will believe anything. The volus are a place holder. It's pretty much for situations like this. Bioware knows we are all snoops, so they left false positives around.

After the whole N7 pictures are real thing thing turned out to be real.
I am going to say
FOR REAL
Someone else figured it out and made it post, but it got ignored. I made similar posts, and they were ignored, usually followed by "no way these are real lol!" Just wanted to make sure that people saw and understood that the images aren't FAKE, since they come from Bioware. Even if they're a troll/decoy, they aren't fake.MagicThoughts wrote...
Sometimes I wonder what the people who figure these stuff would do in the real world if they didn't spend their time doing stuff like this.
Eh? They look like the basic model simply posed, some with Biotic glowy and lens flare.DESTRAUDO wrote...
If they are placeholders then bioware did a gigantic volume of work to make the placeholder. New volus model, skinned and rigged, posed, lit, detail paintover. In terms of art assets for the sake of having a lol placeholder they did the same volume of work it would take to put the character into the game. That does not make a lick of sense.
