For me, things started to go wrong when I was deployed to Iraq in 2003. Funny thing is that if that hadn't happened, I wouldn't be where I am now. And I'm happy with where I am now, so maybe things going wrong was the right thing for me.

I try save them all by using the fire evacuation plan which my family would be briefed on. If forced to choose, I save the spouse and hope that the fire brigade arrives quickly enough to save the children.
