It's the ancient tribal mindset that humanity is still to shake off - if it's acceptable it's mandatory, and if it's not mandatory then it's forbidden.   It served us well in prehistory, but is something of a problem in a world of global cross-pollination.

Have you lived in the same place all your life, or have you moved around a bit?

I've moved around LOTS. I went to about nine schools in total growing up and when I was 25 the longest amount of time I spent in one place was five years...

If you want details, then PM me about it.  I'm not about to go into my escapades on a public forum.

*ahem*

I'm into weaponry in all its forms, so swords and knives are of interest to me.

Are you easily freaked out?

I was scared by a camel spider once. I mistook it for a venomous species. It caused a few laughs among the lads because I'm usually good at identifying animals.

From what perspective are you talking about 'foreign'? I am a South-East Asian Chinese who grew up in a multiracial, multicultural society that lives on Southeast Asian / Chinese / South Indian cuisine as part of an everyday diet, so to me 'foreign' food is mostly what comes from the West. Pizza, pasta, hamburgers, fish n' chips, all these are considered 'foreign' in my country and exoticized / hyped up in some manner when marketed to the public. I suppose I enjoy them, anyhow, though they taste very different when one actually goes to the country of origin.

SargeantRenegade - It was weird. I was in a house I used to live in and was talking to a frog when a motercycle turned up and ran the frog over. The house then changed into another place I used to live in and the motorcycle was actually a friend I had when I was a kid. He had eyes on his knees.

I'm not joking. I said it was weird.

Dark Lilith - 20 years ago at school.
