On DAoC, I once had a Frostalf Thane. (Magnet StormHammer) I got revenge on the Hibs by defeating one of their pure casters 1 on 1 with just my nukes with my Thane! Image IPB I hope that bugger was ashamed of him/herself! Image IPB That was revenge for the popular conception of Thanes bein a gimp class, & the ill treatment we got because of it. True or not, they were fun, dang it! People wanna have fun in games, we can't all be leets.

A drive is a device that stores and retrieves data. An optical drive is a device that uses light (usually in the form of a laser) to store and retrieve data.

All the arts and humanities people like me would be left crying in the dust. That's for sure.

What comes to your mind with the word 'vacation'? Personal preferences, imaginative landscapes, etc.

"Instead of coming into the studio today, would anybody object if I used the day to speak with a new sponsor for the project? With his additional funding, we'll be able to get this done without going overbudget again."

They swallowed the line. The reality was that I'd already secured the sponsor's support over the weekend without letting the rest of the creative team know, and wanted to spend that monday playing video games.

Countries I've visited, in no particular order: the United States, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Cyprus, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Japan, Thailand.

And dogs are more awesome than cats, I think.

If we're talking anime (because yes, I am that sad), then Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass), hands down. He seems to be a combination of both twisted bastard and idealist towards the end of the show, but the ending shows him to be anything but thost two things. Honestly one of the most fascinating characters in the history of narrative, he knows what has to be done, and what he must do to bring it about, no matter what the cost to himself.

Imagine Light from Death Note, but not ridiculously evil (or obviously ridiculously evil)

Normal cartoons: Him (PowerPuff Girls...). I grew up without once noticing that one of the foremost villains in the show was a hermaphrodite crab-man. Talk about fail.

Who is your favourite comedian/funny blogger/satirist?

Mrs Betty Bowers. She does a fantastic satire of Christianity in the western world. For example, the definition of a Bible based marriage.

Are you religious?

@ SargaentRenegade: Yes and no. Was raised in a Christian household with intriguingly orthodox Jewish roots, but also familiar with Chinese polytheistic folk religion, Buddhism and Islam on a surface level due to my childhood in a multicultural society. So while I might not be religious per se (I stopped attending church a while ago), I still believe in the positive values and teachings and the good that is to be garnered from a world that accommodates and allows for a multiplicity of faiths, never mind some misguided teachings here and there. Also, while I stay away from being an active participant in institutionalized religion, there is nothing stopping me from going into a house of worship (of any kind) out of curiosity and perhaps a childlike desire to see how people embrace the concept of the divine. Being in those situations and feeling awash in an atmosphere of spirituality is strangely satisfying somehow. Also, while I'm not a religious scholar by any means, there are certain aspects of human religion that I would like to study further: e.g. orthodox Judaism, Islam and Southeast Asian pre-Islamic folk beliefs.

Same question: are you religious, or what sort of approach do you take towards religion and spirituality?

I am, and that's a topic that's sometimes caused friction in my family. My mother's side is mostly Presbyterian Christian; my father's side is mostly Druidic. Being exposed to both of them in the same household gave me the chance to choose what faith I wanted to practise, and by the time I left home I had settled on the Druidic side. My faith is mostly about viewing the world as a series of dynamic equilibria and embracing nature in all of its forms (both the natural world and natural human instincts), trying to understand the forces at work and how they can be applied to better ourselves as individuals, as a species, and as a society.

I'd think: 'there shall be everything all right' and everything would become all right.

Still would have 23 hours, 59 minutes and ~59 seconds to enjoy myself.
