I'm not gonna lie, I would die laughing if that happens, especially from the reaction.

Firstly, I acknowledge/appreciate that suggestion contained within the op. Nevertheless, am I the only person that desires new adventures in Thedas? In other words, may we please delve into the secrets of the mages/templars/whatever in a new context sans cameos? Please :o)???

(Loved my Warden super mucho, but that biznatch needs to take astep down)

Everybody wants so much control over their experience. No wonder so many suckers chose the wrong ME3 ending... (or should I say beginning?)

@felya

it's completely possible to do I mean CoD MW2 did it so why not DA3

I Don't know those game, but in DA:O we played as two of our companion if they have to save us in the fortress...now I don't remember the name...when saving Anora.

And in ME2 we have a little piece in wich we take control of Joker. so is not a new idea.

For the look of Warden and Hawke...well, if we could use more than one time those character, why not have for them too the chance to change the way they look, as we have with the black emporium?

yep that could work because there isn't a rule saying you have to play with just one character

The Warden and Hawke make up a secret order/society where all the heroes of old join lol, wouldn't that be interesting to see. The chantry has the seekers, why not a secret order where legendary heroes joined up to keep the peace and balance. Too much avatar methinks *cough* order of the white lotus *cough*, I apologize. That's my theory anyway. :P

I don’t know how it could work. I imagine it would be a logistical nightmare, given how many variations of the Warden there can be in personality, class, race, and background (the Champion doesn’t suffer from this as much, obviously). If the DA team didn’t find a way to accommodate as many variations of the Warden as possible, let alone all of them, and allow the player to play out the Warden as they would want them to—which in turn means making variations of quests, NPC dynamics, and so on change to accommodate each variation—then the hell raised would drown out all other reactions to Inquisition. DA isn’t like ME, which had the same protagonist developed and grown over a trilogy. I’m not even sure this is a matter of “Do it right or not at all,” since “not at all” might be the only viable option.

Or maybe the Warden is eaten by the OGB? Presuming the Warden went through with the ritual (though an epilogue slide suggests Morrigan has the baby regardless, so whatever).

Warden: “Mai adorable baybee!”

OGB: “Braaaaains!!000111!!!”

[OGB proceeds to bite a huge chunk out of the Warden’s neck, while a cackling Morrigan watches.]

Thus, the zombie apocalypse of Thedas begins.

The OP asked for thoughts on their post. They didn't say "don't post if you don't agree"

Please keep all responses constructive and respectful. Now added to origonal post

I think they might of said we'd only be 1. But that doesn't mean they coudn't be involved in a major plot point.

If the Warden comes back, I'd like him/her to stare at the PC with an emotionless gaze during conversations, without speaking a word, with captions popping up at the bottom of the screen. Let the player experience what it was like for all the NPCs to talk to our Wardens in DAO.

I don't really understand what 2/3 of this topic's posts are about, but the OP has a really unique and cool idea! I'd even be fine with running into my Warden long enough just for her to try to recruit me, and then saying "No? Well, best of luck to you." and continuing on her merry way.

Though if she and/or Alistair are taking their Calling around this time... that could make a pretty interesting and tragic thing to walk in on if we enter the Deep Roads.

Balls to Hawke. She can slip off into obscurity unnoticed by me. ;)

But.... but.... the taint... and the bonding!

It'd be like the ending to "The Notebook" but with more darkspawn and fewer cheesy ducks flying into the sunset!

And then watch the fanrage of "Why can't I go with my Warden?! ZOMG railroading me BW!!!!11one"

:D

All joking aside, although it's a nifty idea, I have no desire to see my Warden or Hawke again. Mentioned, sure. Seen, no.

Instead of ducks it would be nugs... 10 of them.

That would be great!Posted Image
I can totally see my little elf Girl doing this with Alistir!

After all, she had obligated him to sleep with Morrigan, there is nothing she couldn't make him do!

Thoughts?

I think having The Warden be a voiced character would cause issues for some people, especially the fans who prefer a silent protagonist, and even those who dislike the dialogue wheel. The divide between the dialogue lines and the paraphrased verbal dialogue has caused discontent for some of the fans as well, including those who have no problem with voiced protagonists. I think there are too many problems to include The Warden again, not to mention how jarring it would be to import an elven protagonist with the re-design.

As for Hawke, he's supposed to be with his love interest, and a pro-mage Hawke is recommended by Anders to become a leader to the mages.

If the Warden is male he turns up as a ghoul in the deep roads, his face unrecognizable and unable to speak. If the Warden is female she's a brood mother, her face distorted beyond all recognition w/ the ability to make only occasional shrieking sounds.

If s/he sided w/ the mages the new PC finds Hawke's decaying head on a spike outside Kirkwall, a warning to all rebel mages. If s/he sided w/ the Templars the new PC finds Hawke's decaying head on a spike outside Kirkwall, a warning to all would-be upstarts who think they can rule as Viscount.

I doubt they could recreate what the warden looked like, they may be able to import graphic preset data but the presets themselves would look completely different. That goes double for the elves. Actually I don't think I would want either of my elven wardens to come back as the monstrosities that they turned the elves into.

OMG, that would troll the fans so bad...
