A camp is an easy target for aerial bombardment.
I have said what I wanted to, now get out.

First you explain how it is possible to stand up and continue fighting after having your entire cardio-vascular system shredded and partially removed by a huge Banshee hand.
In other words, MP already breaks lore and realism, so let's just move on.

Yes it's true. Lore Facepalm.

But to answer your question, Volus don't want to die, they'll fight if they want to live.

I hope bioware drops any pretense of lore/canon and just goes with what would make a good video game.

So Much this. I'm sick of everyone complaining about the volus and use lore as their excuse. How about you get away from lore and allow yourself some fun? Or do you only have your geth use geth weapons and your turians only use the phaeston and krysae? Enough with the lore, let fun rule MP.Machazareel wrote...

1) Uniquely high capacity shielding emitters designs protected by ironclad patent laws and masterfully worded contracts.
2) Heavy ablative armor materials and metal-dipped polymer underlays that remain in Vol/Turian hands for the same reasons as above.
3) Emergency suit mending devices that deploy quick-hardening foam, gel, or other material just like quarians have.
Boom, suddenly volus are no more vulnerable than a quarian.

How does it make sense for Cerberus to be fighting Spec Ops teams in London? Geth on Menae, Thessia, Tuchanka, or Sur' Kesh? What about Vorcha fighting alongside N7 operatives? Geth bleeding out and using medi-Gel? Krogan being lifted in the air by a banshee? Krogan not having Health Regen? I could continue, they've already broken lore.
But to answer your question, Volus don't want to die, they'll fight if they want to live.
*Sigh*
Those are simple gameplay mechanics nothing more, nothing less, those are acceptable breakages of lore,
So basically Volus are fighintg in Spec-Ops groups because they want to live?
Even though they have more useful purposes such as handling economies, piloting starships/Warships, developing weapons where they are more of a help in war rather than a hinderance

Self sealing suits. With the fate of the galaxy on the line it makes sense that all races would want to do something about the Reapers. Next we need Hanar adepts and engineers!!!!!

The comment about Hanar seems so do-able right now.

The camera slowly zooms into what seems to be a vehicle bay. Obviously, the shutter has taken battle damage. While zooming in, the viewer can hear a volus breathe.
Volus announcer: The Reapers may laugh when they obliterate everything before them... <kkkkkcch>
Sharp cut to an incoming Reaper army consisting of husks, marauders, brutes and ravagers.
Volus announcer: But they don't know what I know in my head...
Sharp cut back to the vehicle bay. The shutter is now suspensefully opening, revealing bit-by-bit a humongous humanoid mech with twin mass accelerator cannons in its arms accompanied by a machine gun mounted on its right shoulder. After a few seconds, the mech's cockpit is visible, showing a volus with a murderous glint in his eyes ready to take on the Reaper horde.
Volus announcer: (crescendo) ...that I know that I am AMAZINGLY POWERFUL.
The volus shoots the brutes in their heads with the mass accelerator cannons while the machine gun rips into the husks and ravagers. Everything the volus sees falls before him and the Reapers are powerless to resist.
While the Reapers are dropping like flies, the mech menacingly advances forward. One brute is not intimidated by this impressive show of force and prepares to charge. Right when it lunges forward, it takes a shell to the head. The brute falls to the ground, grinding to a halt just in front of the volus's mech. Not content with simply felling a worthy foe like this, the mech climbs onto the brute's fresh corpse. The volus admires the carnage he has wrought from atop his newly won battle trophy.
Volus announcer: FEAR ME!
End with Mass Effect 3 logo.

The armor they're wearing in the pictures is not the same as what the Volus in SP wear. It's clearly a different suit.Bon3zz1001 wrote...
Actually, they're not. This is what the Volus normally look like. The ones in the pictures have a different chest peice and more noteably shoulder plates. It could be an exoskeleton suit which could be used to explain being able to hold heavy weapons.Tacticity wrote...
Well, this is the first time I've seen these images. Interesting that the volus characters are just in their regular volus armor, considering that they're the only race we haven't seen in actual combat, aside from Niftu Cal - but does that really count? Please correct me if I'm wrong, by the way.
Anyways, I think it's a given that anyone naming their volus adept will call them "Biotic God".
