How does it make sense for Cerberus to be fighting Spec Ops teams in London? Geth on Menae, Thessia, Tuchanka, or Sur' Kesh? What about Vorcha fighting alongside N7 operatives? Geth bleeding out and using medi-Gel? Krogan being lifted in the air by a banshee? Krogan not having Health Regen? I could continue, they've already broken lore.

But to answer your question, Volus don't want to die, they'll fight if they want to live.

*Sigh*

Those are simple gameplay mechanics nothing more, nothing less, those are acceptable breakages of lore,

So basically Volus are fighintg in Spec-Ops groups because they want to live?

Even though they have more useful purposes such as handling economies, piloting starships/Warships, developing weapons where they are more of a help in war rather than a hinderance

You want to talk lore? Go to the SP forum and discuss ME3's plot/ending. Because we all know how well agreed upon the "lore" is over there. This is MP ffs.

Volus develop a combat exoskeleton for combat purposes.

One of the first logical quotes I've seen in a long time.

If it is logical then why would a Volus use a Combat Exoskeleton in a special ops group when he could use it on the frontlines?

Because "frontline" combat is largely useless against the Reapers. Most of the war is being fought with guerilla strikes. With geth and Cerberus secretly moving about trying to disrupt the war effort, special ops groups become especially important.

Why would a giant nearly invincible Krogan Vanguard be in a special ops group when he could be used on the frontlines? The question you just asked is a double sided blade. Any postive answer could be used as a response for the other.

First of all, as has been stated numerous times, a codex entry states that the Volus occasionally support the Turians with troops as well. Nobody ever uses 'troops' if they're talking about air support, so ground forces are already involved in lore.

As for their suits, they hold in an INSANE amount of pressure, and the gasses the Volus breathe are toxic to most organic species in the galaxy, If the suits could be penetrated as easily as most anti-Volus nitwits seem to think, they wouldn't be allowed near the other species, because if they trip or a stray bullet hits them, they would essentially function as a pressure bomb releasing a bunch of toxic gasses, killing everyone in the immediate viscinity. Realistically, the suits have some form of redundancy to prevent that from happening.

We've only ever seen civilians, so Volus ground forces wouldn't probably have the same sort of suit. The mobility restrictions can be overcome if the suit basically enhances their physical movements. The same applies to holding bigger, heavier weapons. The suit iself is also made of metal. Why the hell would they be so light that the recoil would blow them off their feet?

You're going to ignore most of this, because you've made up your mind, but it isn't lore-breaking.

Ok, fair enough.

But still, I feel that Volus Exoskeletons or not are rather useless for Spec Ops groups

I'm not coordinated enough to juggle both this and a Nerf the Kroguard thread. Can we combine them so we can accomplish nothing more efficiently?

Also, if you'll recall the volus customer dialogue on Ilium, he manages to wrack up over 100k credits worth of suit upgrades in his virtual shopping cart. Volus suits are not as homogeneous as one might think. There's clearly room to upgrade them for greater durability and mobility.

I can't believe people sometimes. What happens in single player, stays in single player.

Bioware has added so much to multiplayer that made it much more entertaining and more playable. Just to troll people like you they should add a Hanar as a playable character.

I'm in agreement with the pro-volus camp and call shenanigans on "lore" debaters. Why is it that they have a problem with Volus on the frontline, but turn a blind eye to the collectors (who supposedly were wiped out in ME2)? Oh.. I suppose you could just make up some nonsensical "they cloned/created more collectors", is that the excuse used to explain the countless Banshees as well? If memory serves, Aardat-yakshi are limited in number... whoops guess not.

well, Collectors are back, aren't they, if you want them to be lore, there can always be explanations, like Volus has special made battle suits, those we have seen are civilians, we haven't seen any volus soldrier before, so how do you know they don't have some special made things for battle?

Simple. If the spoilers are correct, the volus classes are: Adept, Engineer, Sentinel and Vanguard.

The Adept and Engineer are easy to explain: The Volus have been providing auxiliary troops for the Turian Hierarchy for ages. Adepts and Engineers are capable of providing support to a military unit from behind the front lines, and they can do so without exposing themselves to fire. The Sentinels could fill a role similar to the Adepts, but use protective tools (Barrier or Tech Armor), so that they can venture into the open more often, providing support closer to the front.

While most of these volus would be simply too fragile, and too weak to be used for dangerous ops like in the multiplayer, a few vol-clan could have the skill (and armoring) necessary to provide support on these misions. This could never be enough personnel to give the volus a significant miltary presence, but their field support could still be worth the risks.

As for vanguards.. well. Every race has its suicidal lunatics. Maybe their version of Nova involves explosively decompressing their suit.

Collectors never left. They're mentioned in the codex fighting on Palaven.

They would need to have some kind of combat mech. I can't imagine one of those little weasels waddling around on foot.
