I completed the quest by accepting Flemeth's proposal, taking the grimoire and then giving it to Morrigan in camp.  However, when I return to Flemeth's hut, Flemeth is still standing outside.  When I talk to Morrigan, her dialogue when I ask her why she's still with me mentions that I have yet to fight Flemeth.  Is this supposed to happen?  I seem to recall Flemeth disappearing from the game if you agree with her and then give Morrigan the grimoire, but as I've said, she's still standing outside of her hut.  The quest in my log says it's completed, but I'm worried if this will have an impact on any import flags going into the next two games.

There's a conversation with Morrigan when you give her the grimoire, and then a second conversation when you accept the quest to kill Flemeth. I haven't had Flemeth disappear, because you're supposed to confront her. I'm not sure why it's showing as completed unless it's a mod conflict.

You misunderstand.  I gave her the black grimoire.  I got her quest to kill Flemeth.  I went to Flemeth.  I agreed not to kill Flemeth and to trick Morrigan.  I got the real grimoire.  I gave the real grimoire to Morrigan.  Quest completed.

Yet Morrigan acts like it's not completed and Flemeth is still standing outside of her hut.  As I've said, I thought she was supposed to disappear from the game.  I could have sworn she did in previous saves.

Okay, then if Morrigan doesn't recognize it, I go back to the mod conflict thing. Or you may just need to go back to a previous save.

If it is a mod conflict, I believe the relevant files are morrigan_main.dlg, and possibly morrigan_main.dlb. I suggest checking your override folder for multiples with those names, since you are correct in believing that Flemeth should have vanished, after Morrigan received the real grimoire.

I have no mods.  I'm playing on the 360.  I did not think I needed to point that out because I didn't mention having mods in my question.  It's entirely possible that this is a glitch present in all games if you take the route of lying to Morrigan, but I can't remember and seem to remember this not happening before.  But my memory isn't the best.

No, you should be able to lie to Morrigan. I do it all the time. The DA wiki lists several bugs that may occur during this quest, but nothing like what you are experiencing.

I did lie to her.  The quest completed.  It's when I ask her why she's still in camp that she claims that I have not completed the quest, and Flemeth is still standing outside of her hut.

I'm on the PC and in my last playthrough, i decided to lie to Morrigan about killing Flemeth. And well, like in your case, Flemeth remained standing before her hut till the end.

Thank you.  I will just go forward hoping that, with the quest completed, any relevant plot flags will have been recorded correctly.

Have you tried talking to Flemeth again?
