Your Game Problems don't belong in here (especially not ME-3)

Bioware doesn't want any ME-3 topics outside of the ME-3 forums, no matter if the problem is registration (which goes to EA, anyway).

At one point, Chris Priestly was saying that repeated offenses in that regard was grounds for forum suspension.

This forum is for game players to discuss using the website here.  Previously, there was occasional interaction from a couple of Bioware employees dropping in.  That had appeared to be over with, and the overall future of the Social Site still appears doubtful to me.

That's absurd! I thought the whole point these forms exist was to converse with other players and compare notes, so that we would not always have to pester BioWare/EA's help lines.

There is no other way to sort out ACCOUNT problems, and that's what blocks ME-3 registration. It's nothing that other members can assist with, As far as putting GAME questions in the wrong place, ignoring THAT is the absurdity.

IMO, it's all rather academic. These forums are redundant now.

Then are they shutting them down, or not?

My opinion is that they are planning on switching to EA's Answer HQ for forums similar to this one, in which game players offer assistance to one another.  There has been no official announcement, but there has been all kinds of "Handwriting on the wall", as the saying goes.

Well if that's true, does it matter what people ask for at this point?

If you are having problems with the website you can post here. If you are having problems with the game you should be using the new tech support site.

For example, if your N7 HQ page data isn't correct you should post here. If you are seeing weird things appear on the forums this is the place to ask for help.

Depending on how busy we are Jeff and I check this forum. Although we are usually really busy. :)

Any comment allowed about the eventual downgrading of the Social Site, Jesse? (In favor of encouraging migration to Answer HQ)

As far as I know the change was just for tech support related boards. No plans that I know of to shut it all off.

Supposedly, the Tech Discussion forums are the only ones to be affected, immediately; however, as per their recent response, the pair of Bioware people formerly helping out in here have been way too busy to do so, for the past few months.
