Knock on wood, I haven't ran into any game breaking bugs, but ...

Decided to give the game one last go before I put it away, so I DLed the 1.05 patch.  I've noticed some wierd things that have never happened before when I played the game with the 1.04.

~~  Example, helping the prisioner get food and water in Ostagar?  When he says the quest dialogue it starts, then skips to something completely unrelated (in his same voice) then continues like nothing every happened.  The heck?

~~ Music in battle just turns off on it's own.  Then turns back on again after about 15 seconds.  Wierd.

~~ No matter how much I tried, I couldn't get the Mobari Kennel Master to give me the quest, but, when I went into the Wilds and found the flower, Davith told me about it.  Intentional?  Always could get the quest first before going into the Wilds.

I'll list more when or if I find any.  If there is a topic on this already let me know (most I see are over a year old and don't wanna necro post).

I don't recall any issues like you've mention being reported because of the patch. Patch 1.05 doesn't really fix any in-game, plot oriented content; it fixes authorization issues for DLC and some DX10 related issues. What I suspect is happening is that you've added mods to the game since you played those initial parts previously... or something else has changed (software or hardware wise) since you've first played.

I believe the last part, the one with the Kennel Master, is only given to certain character classes, IIRC. You might want to consult the DA Wiki's entry on that quest to check me.

Prisoner, I'd need more details.
Music, no idea

Flower/Marbari - if you are playing a Human Noble, I've never been able to get the Quest from the Kennel Master as a Human Noble. But Daveth would always bring it up when the GW found one.

Other than that - it sounds like a mod conflict. For the prisoner, I'd need more detail.

Indeed. if you were playing a human noble then you already have a mabari so the kennel master doesn't ask you to help the sick one. But if you ind the flower Davesh tells you about it so you can still go back for the reward.

Absolutely zero mods .. it's a clean install with the patch.

And okay I understand witht he Mabari now, makes sense.

My only hardware change is more RAM.  That's it.

As for the prisoner it's hard to explain.  But he was telling me about why I should help him, and was explaining about how he was sneaking around - then he spoke about wanting to eat a shoe in his own voice mind you but you could hear that ... spot where it was different - then went back to talking about stealing the key from teh mages.

The music .... I was fighting the Alpha wolves near the chest between the two statues and the music stopped.  I touched nothing in the settings.  The sound effects in the battle kept going.  No music for about 15 seconds and then it just kept going.

Actually, I do remember something that might have caused a glitch ... but not sure.

I put in DA:O. I started the DLC when I remembered that I needed 1.04. So I stopped the DLC after the 1.03 went in and put in the 1.05 patch. When it was done there was a window saying if I wanted to put Awakenings in, I'd have to redo the patch. Ugh

So I finished up the DLC and put in Awakenings, then redid the 1.05 patch.

Could that have caused any problems?

I'm past Lothering now and haven't run into anything of the music or the Prisoner quest again.

If the game is running fine now, I suggest you chalk it up to a temporary system slowdown or a game hiccup and move on.  No sense in doing anything drastic until, if ever, the problem reappears.

Awakening automatically installs patch 1.03-- even if you already have a newer patch installed.  So, yes, you need to apply the 1.05 *again* after installing Awakening. That said, doing so should not have caused any issues, unless you interrupted a patch during the installation process, which could, I suppose, have corrupted some game files.

Again, if its running fine now, I'd suggest letting sleeping Mabari lie.... ;)
