bah, credit cards are evil little things. I use Visa Debit/Check cards. I have one credit card for emergency use only, had it for 10 years now and never used it yet.
Anyways, I recommend getting a Visa/Mastercard Check/Debit cards to avoid this kind of stuff.
That is just...I don't know...it's mind-boggling that you would post such an asinine comment.
Do you
actually believe what you just wrote?
Debit/check cards should
never be used...
EVER.
When you use those cards, you immediately tie up
real cash funds that you may need to have access to. When you put the card in at the gas pump, or reserve a hotel room, they block
significantly more money than is required for the purchase. Those funds may be blocked for up to a couple of business days. This can cause all sorts of headaches when trying to balance your real cash flow bank accounts.
I have no idea why people cannot use credit cards the way they were intended. You use them, then pay them off. The way most decent credit cards work online now, you can transfer funds to pay them off as soon as you get back home. However you look at it,
credit cards provide you significant protections that are not afforded to you by
debit cards.
If someone fraudulently bills your CREDIT card, then you are not responsible for paying that off until the dispute is resolved. If someone does the same on your DEBIT card, then your money is GONE until you resolve any possible dispute.
