at least on pubs, I do points enough to be at least third, frequently first or second. You can do a lot of damage with her, but most of the time I'm controlling spawn and keeping enemies busy, so the squad can deal with them easily. I was using the Mattock, it is good but not as good as all the piranhas and harriers around me..

Not true. Same number of enemies wether is 1 player or 4.

I throw Cryo Blast all over the place too to support the team but I still top/almost top the scoreboards.

The FQE is a beast versus the Reapers. Had they not nerfed her turret (and all other pets) and made the "melee" enemies immune to the mesmerizing beauty of the turret, the Reapers would be trembling at the sight of her.

Besides, Cryo Blast animation doesn't even take long and the cooldown time is very short.

There are no purely support characters. If you're not killing enemies ASAP, you're not doing the right thing by your team mates. While I don't kick people who score low (I almost never kick at all), claiming the use of a 'support' character as an excuse for low scoring is not acceptable.

Yeah but if you use cryo blast for others to kill enemies 2x times faster you are contributing but you don't get the score and it's better not to kill frozen enemies and instead of  freeze more of them so the match is easier. But you don't get the points while helping.

When I have my full damager quarian female engineer with build 6/6/6/5/3 with hurricane and striker  it's easy to top the score board on gold, but on platinum the enemies are more powerfull and you need to kill them QUICK or they will swarm you. Strong debuffer is important for the team to kill enemies faster.

But if you froze them AND shot them, they would die twice as fast again and you would get tons of points.

Yeah - since what else are you going to be doing whilst your powers are in CD?

Problem is Cryo with omni captors makes its cooldown so fast that you have it ready before you can aim and shot. Carnifex or Mattock are fast but 1 bullet is not enough to shoot and kill enemies on gold or platinum.

Unacceptable. If all you do the ENTIRE match is spam Cryo Blast every second, you're not really helping your team. You're just making a whole bunch of beeping noises.

Good players will debuff and kill stuff efficiently.

Agree. You must take the time to shoot, or at least incinerate. I only freeze and leave the enemy behind if I'm running (for example, to save a falled squadmate). I won't let freezed enemies behind hoping someone will deal with them.

I use it as support in the sense of controlling the enemies. I use the turret and cryo to keep enemies busy in one spot, while the squad deal with enemies that are attacking somewhere else. Off course, I will deal damage while I "support"..

I cant count the number of times I have been kicked as a support player. It is frustrating that even though I am in the bottom two (generally third because I can hold my own) I still get kicked even though I revived your shattered glass cannon 7 times and never went down once.

I like to play as a AJA with out putting anything into pull. I just do bubble and reave and call it a primer. Reave is primes anything for a BD and bubble keeps all of you safe plus can do BDs with those banshees warping in. I dont care if I set off my own BDs, I am there to weaken everything to make it nice and easy to take out. Beyond that I revive when I can.

And yes support rolls include debuffing and buffing. They are supporting the team when they either buff you or debuff enemies, hence "support roll". So stop crying that I need to get better because I play for the team to win, not just to be top score every time. Oh and yes I can solo gold and do up to wave 6 plat solo (still working on that last one).

PUGs try to kick for stupid reasons, there is no point in trying to figure them out.

I had someone try to kick me for using my Destroyer w/ Claymore & Harrier on a Gold and I was hosting. Funny thing was they didn't have any equipment loaded, while I did.

I just left so they would have to deal with the host migration screen... no point in playing with idiots like that.

i think the reason is not about score at all.

If kill steal maybe yeah but not quite true.

Imagine, you in the middle of shooting the cannibal and you already know that he is going to die in your hand, but suddenly other people steal your enjoyment by killing what you already target and guaranteed to be killed in your hand.

It happened to me many times.

I don't care if some other players kill so many enemy as long as they are not in my way.

It's pretty annoying.

Even if I purposefully just play wing-man and all out support, I'll come away with a far amount of assist medals and assist points. Those would be times when I take an overload spammer, and drop shields for my sniper friends. I'm still doing damage then, but the kills are defiantly not my own. Though they are coming in faster from my support. You can't just sit there and do that all the time either. I'll get kills from flanking enemies and anything that sneaks up on the sniper while he's looking down the scope. That's about as pure support as I can get, and it still puts me on the score board in a comfortable place.

But don't expect PUGs to appreciate that. Some are blind to tactics, character compatability and worst are some folks who diregard debuffs and debuff kits.

I usually kick people who are playing like crap. (e.g. Meeleing banshee with full armor)
But everyone get a chance to play in my lobby. Even low n7 can surprise you. Some days ago we got a human soldier with vindicator l and n7 24 in lobby. We haven't kicked him, and he stayed with the team, revived when possible ( not sacrificing himself ) and were just staying alive and doing little damage. But we played with him 4 successful UUG matches in a row. Good job from him. Did better than some n7 >1000
And sometimes I'm one of the crappy n7 >1000 players, too. So i understand when someone kicks me, when i have sucked. Everyone has bad days

hey I play N7-Slayer and i often use use sword attack on banshees (after a biotic jump or from behind^^).
But I have to agree that even skilled players playing really bad some times (including me if you call me "skilled")...but some guys are just annoying - trying to revive (as last man standing!) a dead guy in a group of 4-5 canniblas, marauders and perhaps a banshee...

This is a self-fixing problem. You don't want to be playing with guys who vote-kick a viable character b/c of the low score. Someone has to be lowest.

I've only ever kicked 1 person from a game in all the time it's been out, and that was because they took ages to ready up.  I don't care what your score is, what loadout you bring, what character you play in regards to team cohesion.  As long as you kill something and help with objectives, I'm happy.

I play silver exclusively, (but should probably move to gold now >.<).  Tonight, (about 10 minutes ago) I had a team of myself and my b/f and two 'new' players.  An N7 34 with a lvl 14 drell and lvl 1 predator, and an N7 68 with a lvl 1 vorcha and lvl 2 reegar.  My first thought when I looked at their loadouts and N7 level?  Cuute :3  I remember being that low levelled, lol.   But that's beside the point.

The FQE is one of my favs.  I have her specced for cryo/incinerate and carry the hurricane.  She's kickass and wasted in just a support role.  But to be kicked for it??  That's just lame.  Never mind though, just move on to better people...... hopefully.

I don't typically bother to kick anyone, but I've noticed 2 things about the (incredibly rare) people who do a decent job playing support in pugs. First, they typically still get a decent amount of points. Second, if you were actually doing a good support job, at least one guy is going to notice and refuse to kick you.

I played a game yesterday with a turian sentinel that spent the whole match stunning guys with overload, debuffing bosses with warp, and acting as a decoy in spots that made it so I was able to unload on enemies with my batarian soldier and just completely wreck everything. He still shot stuff, and while he obviously didn't score anywhere near what I did that match (I think less than half) he was still in second place and he made my life a LOT easier.

It was really obvious what he was doing, and you can bet that if anyone had tried to kick him they wouldn't have gotten their 3 votes.

... lol, that wasn't me was it? Turian Tech-Burster + Falcon + Disruptor ammo is MY kind of support build :)

I seem to remember I was in a FBG/C/G game with a pretty solid BatSol at some point last night...

edit - ah, no, you're on console - wasn't me then ;)

I had a gold cerberus game with two friends once. We were waiting for the fourth random person in order to start the match and the QME joined. He was specced for tac scan and incinerate. He didn't kill much enemies but his debuffs on atlasses and phantoms made our killing easier. We didn't kicked him. It was fun to play with him.

I need to say, that ME Galxy at War is NOT a normal rpg game like Warcraft or somethig like that game. So problem can be in weapons, that you choose for a mission. For example FQE needs weapon with good CD, and pretty good dmg, like hurricane or Talon. I know that is not easy to have Talon on X ( or hurricane ;p) On gold with these weapons is really not that hard to be on the top score board (anyway it depends from who you play with :D). Platinum is whooole other story. Playing some classes on that difficulty is like a pain, because of lack of dmg for example, or stunlocks.
Frankly If I see, that my team has a good mission time( max 25 minutes on gold) after finish, and even when those "support" players would have not so much points, I would not kick them. That's all
Not everyone has mad skillz :P.

Listen to how ridiculous this hypothetical sounds:

The other day I was playing support on my Geth Infiltrator. He's easily the best support character in the game, so I ran around just Proximity mining everything (20% extra damage taken for all enemies in a 4.5 radius) and reviving all my team mates with tactical cloak and helping with objectives. This didn't earn me many points, since proximity mine has such a low cooldown and doesn't do that much damage. So I came 4th with not many points, but I was debuffing enemies for everyone else to kill!

Then they kicked me for scoring low! No fair!
