armor piecing or warp ammo

I depends on the enemies, if you use a sniper rifle you may choose armor piercing since it allows you to shoot through cover.

Neither. Energy Drain might be better to help drop the shields off Atlas mechs and Geth Primes faster, or even for instantly removing shields off the lesser enemies if you do not want to use Cloak > Sabotage to remove their shields.

By my recollection, Armor-Piercing does more damage to Armor only, while Warp Ammo does additional damage to Shields, Barriers, and Armor.

In my opinion, Warp Ammo is the better choice.

That is not correct, sir.

Armor-piercing ammo does bonus damage to health and armor, in addition to allowing cover penetration and weakening armored targets. Warp ammo does bonus damage health and barriers, a lot of extra damage to lifted targets, and also weakens armored targets.

I don't like Energy Drain as it gets boring to use the same power for every build, this power really needs to be nerfed. Personally I would go for Warp Ammo as an all round ammo power.

Fair enough. Energy Drain probably should have been an evolution of Overload anyway.

The Infiltrator does not really need a bonus power. I suppose the Infiltrator could take Barrier or Defense Matrix (rank 5 power damage bonuses) to further increase power damage. The Engineer can get +70% power damage from passive, while the Infiltrator can gain +90% from rank 4 in Tactical Cloak, and I think +20% from passive depending on evolutions taken.

I just do not think that the Warp Ammo or AP Ammo are worth taking up the bonus power slot, since:
A) Energy Drain or a squadmate's Overload can handle barriers better than Warp Ammo, unless perhaps you are using a one-shot sniper rifle.
B) You have armor-piercing mods, and Sabotage + Incinerate that can do much better than AP Ammo.

Depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

But all in all you should just stick with Disruptor to help get around shield gate.
