Ah ...

Well sir, that is something the majority of us would love to see for all the companions.

The chances of that happening aren't good.

The chances of it being done well are even less.

It would be a major (expensive) undertaking at this point to do such a thing and integrate it into the existing game.

Unless they have already made allowance for it ...

I think that other party members should be able to romance each other. Why is it the PC gets to have all the fun? lol

Oh yeah ... I can see it now:

Morrigan: We need to talk.

PC: Huh?

Morrigan: I'm leaving you for Sten ...

PC: I want to talk about something personal...
Morrigan: we are hardly alone, so privacy is not an option...
PC: whats this thing I hear about you and Sten?
Morrigan: So, you heard. I take it you havent heard about me and Zevran though?
PC: Maker's Breath! how many men do you need!?

How tough would it be to just add more dialogue options? she (Morrigan) has actually mentioned going into towns every now and then, but she is never specific about it. Nor has she ever mentioned anything about her childhood other than the mirror thing and flemeth (who I hardly consider her mother). Surely she has to have done something else...Or they could at least do what someone else recommended, make it so you can ask her questions about the most recent quest. Sort of like how Alistair gets so mad and starts yelling at you after redcliff if you do the blood magic thing....

One poster here did have a point - even if you are only interested in talking to/learning about Morrigan and Alistair. And that is that you get different dialogue and reactions from them if you are a different gender/race/origin - and depending if you go 'good', 'neutral', or evil.

Changing your character changes other things.

And, if you change your character, you might find other companions work better in the party and you might get interested in them. I'll grant that I, personally, find Alistair and Morrigan to be the most appealing of the characters. However, Shale can be a scream, and she and Morrigan have some interesting dialogue if included in a party together. Likewise, although I don't find Leliana very interesting (too religious), some of her dialogue with Morrigan is a blast when they are in a party together. I could go on in a similar vein. I am not trying to 'convert' you to liking the other companions more, just saying that one way to find out more, get more depth from, the ones you DO like is to give them broader exposure to other companions or to a different 'you'.

Going to have to agree wtih your here.  I find the dialog options and character interactions to be totally pathetic.  A step back from KOTOR.  Characters do not even hit you up for a converstation while your somewhere, they don't ask your opinion on anything.  It's really sad.
What's worse is most of the RPG's in Development now are MMOs!  SO we have this DAO,  where converstations happen at a camp and you have to talk to your party members everytime in order to get something going, it's dumb desing again, and the only main RPG that is not some silly MMO.

I was spoiled with Planescape Torment and BG2!   Romance feels thin and just an after thought to the story even in DAO.

Nothing is free. If there's extra time, money, and effort to be put into the game, I'd generally prefer it focus on the tactical stuff rather than the intra-party chatting. While interesting characters are part of the game's appeal, ultimately, this isn't a Japanese dating sim. Only a certain percentage of players are going to care about additions or tweaks to one of the supposedly-romantic quests for simulated electronic nookie, while tuning up the game's combat mechanics affects everyone.

If by certain percentage, your referring to an extremely high percentage than you are correct. People want combat, story and background. Adding more background on the characters and a little more to the romance part of the game doesn't turn it into a Japanese sim, in fact it gives you more reason to get into the game and protect the games and focus on the tactics of the battles.

Your supposed to be role playing a fully fleshed out character, romance is part of the role playing aspect of an RPG game. RPG's aren't just fight fight fight. If I wanted that I would go play a first person shooter type game.

This game contains loads of humor so far, if you ask me

Oghrim's lines are mostly hilarious ["You get mad, you fly into battle and things die.." and his Tavern joke, that had me laughing for no reason.]

have you ever heard Leliana talk about Morrigans.. chest?

Or did you hear Leliana talk to Sten, about how she saw him picking FLOWERS?

If I'd want improvement, I'd want a more.. detailed, Tactics system Since I've been missing some options into that.

That has nothing to do with you interacting with the characters, creating sexual tension, romance etc.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would enjoy a few cut scenes involving the party sitting in camp around the fire, or in a tavern in a town, laughing and joking talking about a battle that just passed, perhaps poking fun at ea. other here and there with things like:

"I don't get how you expect to kill the darkspawn alister when your always on your back flailing around in battle" says Morrigan "gee I don't know Morrigan, perhaps if you did more flailing around on your back you wouldn't always be so pissy" responds Alastair.

or some scenes after you leave camp leaving so and so behind for the 3rd time, where they sit around whining about how they never get to go out and are always stuck at camp.

Just some things here and there to really make it feel like a group of companions.

This is the kind of thing I would like to see, along with more reactionary dialogue based on game events. For instance, my last play through I did a city elf, and after completing the Alienage it would have been nice if anyone in my party had really remarked on the whole saving-my-dad-from-slavers thing. Particularly as they toon was romancing Alistair at the time; apart from a brief "you were married!?" dialogue at the beginning, the was no fallout at all from that story arc. I would like to see a bit more interaction based on the origins, since at once point or another each origin comes full circle within the context of the greater plot progression.

It would just lend a lot to the immersiveness of the world if you felt like your companions were as invested in the game as you are, geez. :P

I totally agree and that's what I'm talking about with making it feel as though you are companions and not just a group of people travelling together to rid the world of the blight. I mean you ask some personal questions of your companions, it would have been very interesting to have them come up and ask you some rather personal things as well while camping or in a tavern.

I mean I know I would have died laughing had someone like Leliana come up to me after fighting a boss type character and say "Psst, hey... Did you see the look on Ogrhens face when we rounded the corner and saw the broodmother? Honestly I think he wet himself!"
