My best advice is get a really good multibutton mouse to map your most used keys to. Not sure if the ME3 port lets you do that per se, but this is general advice for PC games.

This.

I use WASD like most, but for hot keys, I map HK 1, 2, 3 to my mouse as an alternate, plus most folks bind  HK 7 (medigel, for its intended use, plus reload cancel) to either their mouse or a key in easier reach than the 7/& key.  Makes a huge difference.  Sometimes when the EA server craps the bed, it makes my remapped mouse buttons go stupid until I reset them after exiting ME3 and restarting.  Really cripples me to have to use the actual 1, 2, 3 and 7 key in matches.

So I just played my first match with other people earlier; made a bronze lobby and to my surprise, people actually joined. Despite my N7 rank of - wait for it - two! they played and we actually got to wave 10 before wiping. It was pretty fun, and I got somewhat familiar with the controls once I was able to move without having every single enemy shooting at me at once.

So do the enemies react quicker on PC you think? I presume Bioware tweaked something to that effect since mouse enabled more accurate aiming. Though I suppose the consoles get some degree of autoaim.

To be honest it doesn't really feel like they react quicker. The graphics are much better than the console so that may be part of what makes the combat look different, but I'm having a much easier time to start with than I thought I would. I'd attribute that mostly to teammates, though. I've only done a few bronze PUGs and so far players have been competent and surprisingly patient with my complete lack of equipment, characters and levels.

If you are online right now I will gladly play a few silver level games with you, or gold if you are feeling adventurous.

That'd be awesome, I guess I probably should have included my Origin ID in my first post. It's ytfeL47 and yeah I'll be on for a little bit.

I did the same the other way around (bought the Xbox version a few weeks ago). It's fun to play on another platform from time to time. :)

The loading times on PC are a pain. I was in awe when I saw how smoothly the game works on Xbox (the store opens quickly, there are no big delays when connecting to EA and checking DLC). On PC it can take me 3-4 minutes to just get to the multiplayer and get ready for the first match.
