PLEASE! Some of us PC gamers don't actually like to use keyboard and mouse if we have the option to lounge back and not ruin our spines slouching over a keyboard.

I will be sorely dissapointed if you do not.

I've seen this requested before. I wouldn't mind it personally. Bioware does put a better UI than most console ports though.

I've always wondered why they never put this option in the DA/ME games. It can't be that resource intensive to put an Xbox 360 UI in the game for gamepad users?

It makes even more sense now that PC gaming is moving more towards compact PCs. You can easily carry them around like a 360 and hook them up to your TV if you want.

I don't like using controllers if I'm already playing on a pc, but I support options for people who do.

Yeah, controllers are a lot more comfortable with my current setup than mouse and keyboard tbh. I don't see why any crossplatform game shouldn't have 360 controller support.

Even PC-only games have controller support these days.

You couldn't use a controller for DA2?

Every game with the "Games for Windows" (not GFWL) logo is compatible with a controller.

I personally prefer my keyboard and mouse, but I'll support the controller for those who prefer it! Nothin' wrong with gaming differently! c:

Why would you want to use a controller in a da game ?

Seconded, provided the keyboard/mouse interface doesn't suffer.

Apart from being more comfortable, controllers are also a more ergonomical solution. Many people have carpal tunnel syndrome / RSI or are at risk developing this (given the prevalence of work behind a computer). Given the increasing average age of gamers (and women are even more at risk) I think controller compatibility is almost obligatory these days. Unless the game is such that the flexibility and complexity of mouse and keyboard controls are indispensable, as in many strategy games.

not for Dragon Age

if there going to be controller support, thats mean- no hot keys. But gameplay of DA on PC is all about hot keys & mouse overlook

Yup, controller support for PC would be very nice.

But as written above, no change in keyboard / mouse for those who like to use that.

Yes please add the option for controller input. Some people with disability's cant use a keyboard mouse set up without pain and its alot easier for a sick kid to play the game when they can lay in bed with a controller.

Maybe I'm wrong about what exactly are controllers but I thought some existed with a few hot key?

(I personally use graphic tablet and keyboard)

If this comes as a secondary concern after Mouse and Keyboard controls and other general PC port-work (Graphics options, re-bindable keys, etc.), that's fine. But it really should be a secondary issue as I wouldn't want the primary control scheme and badly needed game options for an entire platform to suffer just to support the minority of players who play cRPGs on PC with a controller.

No offense intended, but controller support does take time to implement, and if you really, really want it so badly there's always the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions themselves.

Aren't there any for one hand only use, and with a few more buttons (for hot keys?)
I looked for one (not for games actually) but could find only left hand controllers in shops (for right-handed people.)
I didn't want to buy something I couldn't try (it's a bit like shoes.)

I can't support this, because I want a purely KB + mouse oriented experience as DA:O was, having controller support means that the game would be more similar to DA2 mechanics (a game clearly designed to be played with controllers) and that's not what I want for DA3
