See I dont mind being able to pay for individual upgrades for weapons or characters, but only so long as the cost scales approprately. Having to pay 300k for a level two UR and then scaling it up for each level beyond I think would be wonderful. That way you wouldnt be stuck with just level 1s or 2s.

As for buying new URs I dont agree with that. You need to still do the random chance of getting one in a pack like everybody else. Otherwise people who have saved up millions of creds can just buy the URs right off the bat and trounce people who are trying to earn enough creds for a PSP.

I would think that it should be at least 3.5 million to get a max level UR (going from IX to X the cost is 3.5 million) and perhaps even higher to discurage abuse of the system.

But again beyond that kind of restrictions I dont see an issue with buying levels for URs or rare gear.

Anything below rare though you should still have to go through the packs to level.

I think the store wouldn't be so bad if they increased the chance for UR guns. 6 PSP's in a row and all i get is level IV Ammo Bonuses.

Oh look another the shop sucks post, couldn't be bothered to even read more than the first sentence.

But you still found it in you to type a completely useless reply :P

The MP store should have been the same as the SP store, plain and simple. When you open it, you have several tabs. 1 for weapons, 1 for weapon mods, 1 for characters, 1 for Gear and 1 for consumables. Problem solved. You would still need a ****ton of money to unlock everything.

BSN has done multiple "what's the ratio of URs in PSP" threads and the accepted ratio is 10 PSP to 1 UR.

Which is roughly 1 million credits.

Which is about 8 platinum runs.

A platinum run is about 30 minutes (yeah, I know speed runs are lower but work with me here BSN) which means about 4 hours. Easily done in the course of 2 days.

Again, I'm not sure HOW you think people will buy more from the store when you have significantly lowered the number of credits needed for URs.

These suggestions will go unheeded because these suggestions destroy the market for buying packs.

Didn't read the entirety of your post, OP. Didn't need to. Randomness is very profitable, so I'll just save some time and quote this guy.

100 000 per UR is pretty cheap...

agreed its still too cheap. as it stands 100k is a 10% chance to unlock one. 10 million is the approx value of maxing one out.

so if they made an UR pack or the ability to purchase one the minimum should be 1 million credits IMO

As far as profitability goes, you are all assuming a lot when you say this system will adversely affect real money pack sales. Until another method is tested, we don't know how consumers will respond. I know that I personally would be more likely to spend $10 on packs if I was assured I could get the weapon I wanted up to Level X. As the store currently is, it's too much of a gamble that I'll get a character appearance card or something I don't want to spend real money on packs.

There are a lot "power gamers" on this board that already have all their rare cards maxed, which is why discussions like this are so heavily skewed toward that mindset. Most of you won't benefit from an alternate store system, because it's easy for you to quickly max any new rare weapon the day it comes out. For the rest of us on here (and the huge majority of players that don't post here), filling out our manifests is a daunting task. It's the reason why this multiplayer doesn't have any more longevity for me personally, as I know I'll never finish my manifest, especially with Retaliation adding scores more rare cards to the mix.
