I would never want DA2 to be a dream. I loved DA2.

I totally thought this thread was going to campaign for a DA version of "Who shot J.R.?"

Bioware doing a Dallas would cause even more upheavel especially for those who liked (me) DA2. I remember the outcry that CBS and the Dallas production studio received when they pulled this stunt. Not worth the grief it would cause Bioware. You cannot just retcon all the lore out of existence or the DA universe considering Anders is mentioned along with Kirkwall in the novel Asunder

I think they should acknowledge it. But that's all.

I joked about this kinda thing somewhere else on the forum, but I don't think it's actually a good idea. They are some people who liked the game, and others who would want the decisions they made in their one or two painful play throughs to be carried on to the next game.

Wait wait, I got it. Can't believe no one has done this yet:

Does this prove IT?

Yes, this does indeed prove the Intoxication Theory.

I think more like the end of Newhart than Dallas...

At any rate, no I don't want that. I actually LIKED DA2, my Hawkes, the various NPCs and their issues/stories, and I also liked that DA2 is a bridge game between DAO and DA3.

The first thing that popped into my head when seeing the thread and conveniently missing "a":

Isabela Does Kirkwall.

No. DA2 actually has a very well executed non-traditional story with interesting characters. I can certainly understand criticism of DA2's gameplay problems (repetitive environments, enemy waves, bugs), but I don't understand why you'd want to completely erase DA2. What, specifically, about DA2's story is so awful that you'd to pretend it didn't happen? Because, from my perspective, DA2 has the better companions, a story with way more insight into the world of Thedas, and sets up a conflict that is as interesting as the Darkspawn with more potential for politics.

It's not that the story was awful (although I did find it boring and rather "meh"), it's that I can't really remember that much about it, and really, REALLY don't want to go through the labourious pain that was playing DA:2 again to remind me of everything.

If DA:3 is any good I'll play through DA:O again and then purchase DA:3, so just wondered if many others would do the same, and if they'd sooner forget that DA:2 even existed that's all.

From what most are saying they wouldn't, so that's fair enough, I just thought it might be a good opportunity to experience the real power of Fade demons by having you were under their spell for the entire of DA:2, and I personally would love to see evil/demon versions of the companions in DA:2 too.

I'd say there's plenty of room for this concept to be applied to the companions and protagonist of DA3; a (well-implemented) Fade sequence that takes up at least a few hours of game and turns out to be a nightmare.  It's a creepy-as-all-hell idea, and I like it.

I was totally wrong. They killed Bobby in Season 8, brought him back in Season 9 and the show went on for 5 more seasons for a whopping 14 seasons.
