He one/two shot an ogre when it took your party 3 minutes to kill it with four people and even then you almost died, he doesn't have a level, he doesn't need one.

Duncan is only level 1. the problem is that people erroneously assume he is a rogue. Duncan is actually one of the few remaining 'beard' class characters, which were removed from the game because beta testers whined that they were OP.

In the Dragon Age book, Duncan brought down a high dragon. And that's when he was just a kid, and a newbie Grey Warden. Okay, so he had some help, but still... I'm just sayin.

Well, considering that by the end of the game the PC can kill an ogre on their own, I'd say Duncan is somewhere around level 20(+).

I'd say mid 20s... I could've sworn that Duncan's name was in yellow for one of the origins. Hope it was an error. Perhaps the beard messed with the coding.

I thought that was in more than one origin actually. Anyhow, it doesn't matter because in none of the origins (still need to do both elven origin stories) I played up till now there was any fighting involving Duncan.

Well, Duncan is basically the classic of-the-chart character I recall from earlier P&P days.

He practically one-shots all 'standard' darkspawn without breaking a sweat, all the time being very quiet and level-headed about it. Reminds me a lot of my japanese Sensei.

For the level thing I would say in comparison to the hero, who starts out as a pebble and grows into a rock, he is an avalanche.

BTW, one could as well ask about the level of Riordan, as they joined the Wardens at the same time, and he single-handedly takes on the Archdemon pretty good.
