Got to the start of the Attack on Cerberus base mission without a single glitch. ( the mission that starts the endgame)

Then i got this Black "screen of death" PC unresponsive to "ctrl+alt+del" during a cinematic ( looking at a console with records of Shepard's reconstruction).
Have to hold the power button on my PC to shut down...

the bug has been all over since ( started new career). Always during cutscenes or cinematographics.

It boggles my mind to think that i made it that far in the game without a glitch and now I cant finish the game...

i tried lowering resolution, shutting sound of ( ME3 configuration tool). nothing seems to help.

I read that running the game in Windows XP compatibility mode is supposed to help: Any witnesses to this being true?

Anyone have any ideas that could help?

Did you try to repair the install? Other than that I am not sure what to suggest.

EDIT: The only other thing you could try is maybe reinstalling the game.

if it only happens on cut scenes have you tried running another game wiht cutscenes ?

i recall having the black screen lockup issue in the past but that was an awfull long time ago, back when the 8xxx series nvidia cards were new on the market

I found a workaround no thanks to EA tech support.
1- empty all ME3 temp folders.
2 - reload from earlier save
3- disable subtitles
4- skip all dialogue until past the defective "interactive scene".

worked on 3/3 characters that had the same problem.
