I consider myself pretty experence in mass effect multiplayer but never spent the time to really try to see a difference in damage.

My question: Say I have a shotgun..does holding right click(scoping in) do more damage then just pointing and shooting?

..cause I like the smaller retical but if I must scope in for more damage I will.

Scoping in only makes a difference for sniper rifles. Sniper rifles incur a damage penalty (15% I think) if you shoot unscoped.

I was hoping It was thanks man ..so much easier to control recoil on the N7 Piranha when your not scoped on platinum n stuff. Had a feeling with the sniper, thanks for the confirmation :)

If you have a smart choke mod on a shotgun, then aiming it might help with landing headshots, although you can pretty much get the same effect no-zooming the shots. It doesn't do extra damage if you do zoom-in. It's just for accuracy's sake.

It depends on the rifle... it is .15 for some of the fake snipers, but as high as .5 for Widow and Javelin.
