Its funny how his fans excuse everything he does. He is just as emo as Anders.  They are cut from the same card and just thrown on opposite sides.

Anyway, I made this thread to prove a point.

No character is perfect.  

I'm not saying he's perfect. I'm just wondering why people excuse his pain as emo. He's had a rough life and if he has a somewhat cynical view of the world, he can express it just like everyone else.

I liked Fenris. Then he ratted one of my Hawkes out to Meredith as if it was a joke, a mage no less. I liked him less after that. In regards to what I'd like to see in DA3 I'd like the PC to have an option to react to things like this. Simply not using Fenris afterwards felt as an inadequate response to his betrayal. It's similar to Sebastians party banter about going to the templars. That's the kind of conversation the protagonist should preferably get a voice in.

Trust me when I say that pulling yourself away from a bad past is incredibly incredibly difficult.

Up to ten years of freedom, at least five good people who have been trying to help him up to this point and he is still suck in a rundown mansion, raiding the vine cellar, gambling and venting out his frustrations on any nearby mage in the group.  People who do not want to be helped do not deserve to be helped.

At least Anders has the excuse of actually being possesed by an immortal being of absolutes.

Fenris is one of the coolest characters in the franchise. I wouldn't mind there being more characters like him, though his voice actor contributes a lot to his coolness.

DAT VOICE @.@ The voice actor even does one of the voices for your character in Orgins. I squeed when I heard it, couldn't help myself xD

I liked Fenris. He was my go to guy. I want to know if any of you had been treated they way he had for his whole life if you would just be able to let it go. He was tortured and abused beyond belief. Sometimes you never get over something. And in the end if you romance him and you're a mage he still stays with you even though he doesn't agree.
