I hope I will not be hanged for this but of late I've seen number of people on pizza objective take the SLOW method to deliver their pizza.

When you pick the pizza walk BACKWARDS, if you stuck on a wall or something you can also walk Sideways on bit slower pace then backwards.

Had to share this as I've been the only one today I've seen using this method out of 15+ matches or so.

I'll walk backwards sometimes just to make sure I'm not getting flanked.

Ah, so I shouldn't check what enemies may be waiting for me to back into. Got it. Thanks.

As I recall the basic is one guy take the pizza, one is covering his back and two others charge ahead to clear the path.

but most of the time (I use headphones) you can hear the mobs walking around you or shooting etc... so not that hard to avoid them (except ninja sneaking geth pyro of course).

Yeah, usually at least one teammate will come and escort, so walking backwards is generally safe.

On a slightly related note, I do find it hilarious when people run with the pizza, though I have no idea how to do it...or if bioware approves...

Light melee or headbutt with krogans doesn't work for some classes

Blood rage makes a krogan mighty hungry, and there aren't always salarians around...

Don't particularly care. However, I am sometimes puzzled why when I (for example a Fury) and a Turian get to the package, they have to insist on carrying it. Let the fastest one/Krogan/Novaguard carry the pizza, please guys.

Would be cool if it was actual Pizza that Hackett ordered, but what got intercepted by Reapers.

"Thank you for bringing my Pizza, fellows..."

kaileena_sands you absolutely right, I also check the mods before the match starts because sometimes people use adrenaline buff as well.

At least on PC it is possible to run with pizza when playing a character without combat roll(i. e. Turian). I don't like to exploit this as I don't know if it is bannable.
Just a side note.

I don't think so.... might be it's faster cause the weight of the package is pulling you instead of you pulling it when you walk normally :wizard:

It's a use of in-game mechanics, like spawn controlling or some other similar tactic. They would have come out immediately and said that it was an exploit if they viewed it as such.

Any race and character can do it. I don't think the devs know how to do it as i saw a post some time back where a dev was asking people about it. Its not difficult actually but its too sensitive to many factors including the timing and control.

You can use the asari evade moves to move the package faster, simply move the direction you desire and spam the A button (or spacebar.) Also you can use the human vanguard and nova cancel.

Time´s not a critical thing for pizza delivery imho so it´s fine to walk normal.
More important is 1 teammate clearing the path/watching your back and the 2 others keeping the enemy busy somewhere else.
A cobra (or 2) are best used when bosses block the way or Ravagers are incoming.

Yeah, I see your point, but I don't think it was intended to provide possibility to run with pizza. And it wasn't stated by devs that it's just a feature like reload cancel...

Also, it is even possible to sprint with pizza with any character if you divide keys for sprinting and for using something.

Yep I check this too. When  I put Adrenaline III on my Shadow she basically runs carrying the package. :wizard:

I mix forwards and backwards. Forwards near corners, backwards when the coast is clear ...

But honestly, pizza speed doesn't make a big difference. I find intelligently choosing your route, and being willing to re-route when necessary are more important.

Oh, and missiles. There's usually at most one annoying group of baddies causing problems, and a missile can fix that ...

Sometimes, I walk across the map through the hord of enemies alone like a boss.
Why? 'cause my so called teammates are all busy killing their own things.

My modus operandi is to take the pizza and nova-cancel melee to the drop-off point. Works every time.
