 Sandal should play a bigger part or be a choice as a party member. He seem to be harboring some great powers from the carnage in Dragon Age 2. Does the Dragon Age Community agree?

I am sure we will see him in the third game. Remember, his "father" said he and Sandal would move to Orlais. DA3 takes place in Orlais. It was hinted in the first two games that Sandal has strange magical powers, and I believe we will find out. It's possible he is a dwarf mage.

I suspect his role in the overall narrative will be quite large. I don't think I'd like him as a party member though. I enjoy his surprise appearances amidst enemy corpses, with wares for sale at the ready.

It seems, to me, like they are going to use sandel to make a big reveal about the setting. However, I wouldnt want him in my party, unless he somehow gets more proficient with talking.

I'm 100% sure he will return. I'm just as sure about his return as I am about Cullen being a companion.

Cameo maybe, but I think he was pretty much played out by the end of DA2.

Sandal is one of of my favorite characters, and many others agree. It is also hinted he may have magic and he's going to Orlais. If he doesn't return as a companion he will definatley make a cameo appearence.

All things considered, that Sandal and Bodahn will be in the next game is pretty much given. As for his true form...I always thought Sandal was perhaps some Old God trapped in dwarven form or something along those lines.

I'm thinking that they will end up using Sandal to explain the "real" reason dwarves are not connected to teh fade, at least in the same way as the other races.

I can't find where, but I remember... it was either Gaider or Laidlaw... said "It wouldn't be a Dragon Age game without Sandal". "Let there be Sandal!" So anyway, DA3 WILL have Sandal.

Sandal as a party member would be way overpowered. He'll certainly be back in some capacity though.
