volus are not a combative race that is why they should not be in a battlefield environment on the frontlines = volus makes no sense

Then why should Volus be added?
And vorcha is part of Blood Pack mercenary, one of three mercenary groups under Aria.

I don't see the issue though, just because you've never seen it doens't mean it wouldn't ever happen. Volus are organics, so can no doubt evolve and adapt the same way every organic can. Why wouldn't the Volus invest some of the wealth they have accumulated to developing methods that allow their people to take up arms against the reapers?

Anything's possible in the universe of "space magic".

That would be an unwise investment for the Volus to make, can you honestly imagine that the Volus would invest time, money and resources, just so that a few people of the Volus could be able to fight, even the CEO of Kassa Fabrications (Name?), who is a Volus himself is more likely to invest in something that could help in the war effort (Such as improved armour, weapons and shields), why? because it is more profitable, also it would more than likely hinder the war effort that help it [Developing methods enabling Volus to fight]

EDIT: And besides, the only reason why many people say "Space Magic" most of the damn time is because of the ending

Do you read? I already addressed this.

EDIT: We're not frontline soldiers either, we're special forces.

Well, at first I thought they'd come into battle with fight mech suits or something. I could easily see that being done. But then I saw the pics from bioware with volus wearing normal Civ suits. Honestly bioware either trolling us or there going to be joke character.

Well, when BioWare decided to add Volus to the multiplayer, I bet they weren't expecting this Spanish Inquisition. Anyway, it should be amusing to see the Volus in MP. I can't wait to see everyone with their new biotic god run along on the battlefield, or watching a Volus Biotic Charge enemies. This should be quite funny actually.

Okay, I'm done here. You're not even reading, you're just going on a psychotic tirade, thinking people want to listen to this.

Yet mostly every engineer ever introduced thus far has been about fighting and supporting the teams on the frontlines the volus are not ment for that

Everyone is threatened with absolute eradication. A lot of people that had never played a combat role would sort of have no choice, being as it's the end of the world and everything. Most of them are wealthy, so they can probably afford combat exoskeletons. Since there are no front lines (the Reaper war is, by necessity, asymmetrical warfare), every fighter is going to be in groups like these, with a relatively quick in, complete objectives, out.

Volus would probably actually work better in a frontline force, anyway.

It's not like the Reaper ships tend to just simply wound you a bit.

Also, we could use the Volus as explosive ammunition if we ever run out.

There we go.

Making up for a lack in fighting capabilities with extreme engineer skills sounds like a pretty decent trade in my book. If I wanted to shoot things I'd play a Soldier or an Infiltrator. ;)

I honestly hope to the mass effect universe that bioware is really joking otherwise don't expect to stay or for me to start a match in my lobby if you come runing in with a joke character like the volus or don't expect any revives my friend.

I want to play volus characters because it'd be hilarious. Then again, I want the volus "evidence" to be fabricated by BioWare to throw us off/troll us because it'd be hilarious.

Perhaps they are being added because they have never played a combat roll throughout the game. It's time to clear up all the jokes about them and show that they can indeed fight.

To further bolster the validity of this statement, I'm gonna leave this picture here:

Those are children. Children shouldn't fight in wars. Oh, look what's in their hands! Guns!

"But that's just a cartoon!" This is just a cartoon, but child soldiers do exist. It's a sad thing that they do, but it doesn't mean it's not real.

Now apply this knowledge to the Volus. We need fighters, whether we choose to believe it or not.

In one word: Yoda!

:D

But unlike yoda, Volus was added to the "lore" in the End of the trilogy.... That makes me think if the same thing happened to Yoda... Nah, nevermind. Little people taking down huge ones is so awesome that "even" on the Lord of the Rings the HOBBITS are the heroes. :)

Now, god, Bioware truly deserves better fans. :P

PS: Sorry for my bad English. :)

The volus have never actively really perticipated in a war before they don't have the stamina and they usually have the turians fight in their place it is a no go

This has been proven false as well. Too lazy to look up the source, though.

Or they can get their own private army with the money that they have

Dulla love your wrong

The volus are not physically cut out for combat, be it a full-scale war or even a bar room scuffle. As such, they are highly dependent on the turians for defense, although the volus themselves do provide some auxiliary troops to the Hierarchy. The volus will support the turians in any war they might pursue, and the turians will do the same for the volus.
Possibly for this reason, volus weaponry tends to be utilitarian rather than high-grade. Some volus manufacturers specialise in cheaper, lower-grade copies of expensive turian equipment.
Volus prefer airpower in conflicts, counting on turians for ground support. They maintain several flotillas of heavy-bomber frigates capable of warfare in any atmosphere.
The volus have only produced one dreadnought, the Kwunu, named after the diplomat who negotiated their client-race status with the turians. The Kwunu is the only volus ship of its class, but it is remarkably well-armed. Its broadside cannons and main gun are all Thanix Magnetic-Hydrodynamic Weapons. A turian general touring the Kwunu after its maiden system-voyage enthusiastically declared that the ship could "char a planet three times over". While its construction was funded entirely by the Elkoss Combine corporation, the dreadnought was jointly gifted to the Vol Protectorate and Turian Hierarchy upon completion.
