I wasn't partial to the look of Daedric items in TES. I was also not partial to how most people seemed to ignore someone dressed entirely in Daedric.

If someone brings some foul-looking device to a party, I would actually like people to react to it, but that's asking for a lot of scripting (dialog conditions per item, extra dialog, lots and lots of testing for something with only a minor payoff).

Elder Scrolls glass is volcanic glass, obsidian. Ebony is the same thing, just a lot denser.

In TES glass weapons are not made of actuall window glass,
"Glass weapons are made from a rare material of volcanic origin called malachite"

deardric armor and weapons allways seemed to me as having the lamest look, ebony is a thousand times better; And I'd rather have the lesser DR than looking like a duche... Bioware, you'll design the awesomest, baddassest armors and we'll take it from there...

Have you looked up malachite IRL? It's a soft mineral compound made from copper... not exactly valerian steel.

You can't make weapons of quicksilver either, yet they manage just fine in TES. You can't make weapons and armor out of bone in quite as an elaborate manner as they do in both DA and TES.. Fantasy will be fantasy it seems.
