So I haven't even been able to play the past 3 days whatsoever. I have:
- confirmed my ISP is not blocking any ports.
- UPnP enabled.
- disabled firewalls.
- disabled any antivirus programs to prevent any conflicts.
- Numerous PC reboots and Origin reboots have no effect.
- Origin is confirmed up to date.
- Origin's Repair Install utility confirms my local file integrity, and confirms my game is up to date.
- Origin's Update utility reconfirms my game is of the latest version.
- I have uninstalled and Reinstalled the game and all DLC to no effect.
- Opened all ports that EA support has told me.
At this point, I'm considering that it's my router + modem (I have one of those ****ty Xfinity things where it's one piece of equipment) because I have zero problems with any other game and zero problems with my connection. I know several other people have had connection issues like me, but I also see others NOT having the same connection issues and can't think of it being anything else. Should I start looking at buying my own modem and router? Can anyone recommend a good router and modem that can be bought from Newegg, Walmart, or something along those lines? Looking for something in the $100-200 range. Thanks!

good depends on what you use it for, as for price a 30$ modem/router can perform better than some of 150$ ones price just means there marketing the "brand name" unless your into buisness grade stuff.
its always possible your router is on the blink however if that was the case then more likely you would have probelms wiht everything as oposed ot just me3.
however theres a few different things to try before chucking in the towel and forking out money, the first one being borrow another router and see if the problem is still there.

Can you recommend some good routers? I live in the US. The router would just be used for "normal activities", I guess; work + gaming + school work + basic internet use. Nothing business grade.
I'll try to borrow a friend's router and see how that goes. ME/Origin are the only things that have problems. Absolutely nothing else has any issues:(

if its only me/origin isses then i would say thats the culprit,
thers a bunch of stuff in the other connection issues posts and trying some or all of those may "fix" the problem connection issues are always a pain ot troubleshoot since every pc is different, i have difficulty finding things when it happens on one of the 4 hp dv7 laptops in my house (there all exactly the same in terms of hardware/software build) but randomly 1 will have a problem when the other 3 are fine .
sometimes its the simplist things but others its something really obscure like a registy entry corrupted >>>
if swapping routers doesnt fix it try useing a differnt pc (get a mate to bring there tower round) if a second pc/laptop will run on your router then the problem would be with the pc.
so its possibly something like antivirus /firewall doing odd things, now personally i changed mine so it asks me about everything (automatic settings always cause a problem) of course attempting to use some form of stealth mode will stop the game from working) and lets not forget that some older security products say there switched off but in reality there acting as an internet block for anyhting that isnt specifically allowed.
as to a good router being in the uk perhaps i shouldnt comment on that one, however if you chek your isp'd forum there will be a consensus of opinion on a good router, similarly googling should work, personally i bought mine after finding if had a 10 year garantee
