Anyone else find the replay value lacking?

I've played through ME1 four times, ME2 five times and ME3 three times (and counting).
I've played DA:O once and DA2 once.  I did start a second playthrough of DA:O, but only got a couple hours in.

I disagree. Of course not everyone will feel the same way for replaying certain games but personally I have been replaying both games over and over for the duration of the year so far and will probably keep going. I've been reading all of the novels as well and the comics I plan to get soon. I can't get enough of Dragon Age but that's just me.

Not everyone is the same way.

I beat DA:O six times, from start to finish. I played DA2 twice.
I beat ME1 once, ME2 twice, and I couldn't even finish ME3 because the ending was ruined for me and there seemed little point left in playing it.
But to each their own.

These are not open world sandbox games where you can play dozens of times and have a completely different experience each time, but DA:O did have a relatively high replay value compared with the Mass Effect games or Dragon Age 2.

I played DA:O several times to try each different race and origin story. Played DA2 twice, once as a mage and once as a rogue.

Never played any of the Mass Effect games more than once, although I plan to try ME3 a second time eventually.

Regarding Origins I would strongly disagree given the different origins, supporting various factions against one another and general choice throughout. I've had more playthroughs than I can remember. At least a full start to finish playthroughs of all the origins characters.

Dragon Age 2 did have some replay value but admittedly was lackluster compared to Origins. I felt a couple of playthroughs were more than enough for most.

Origins had tons of replayability value.

I finished it like 8 times.

DA2 I finished like 3 or 4.

Well DAO has a metric **** ton of mods, so it;s re-playability is pretty high (on the PC).
I couldn't get through DA2 at all, so I can only comment on it's playability. Other than the first ACT or so, which is far as I got into it.

Typically the only games I replay are strategy games, RPG's have to have a huge amount of character building options for me to do so. DA isn't great in that regard.

I've finished Origins no less than 15 times, but no more than 25. Not including the various characters I abandoned before starting over with a new one. (I think this is the part where I admit I'm an addict, but I'm not sure..) DA2 I've finished maybe 5 times with many abandoned characters along the way.

Part of what got me through so many playthroughs of Origins was the ability to play with different motivations each time. Many characters made the same decisions, but for varying reasons. I couldn't do that with DA2. Partly because of the voiced PC, and partly because the story just doesn't capture my attention the way DAO does. I only finished five playthroughs because I got bored of everything else I could play. Now that I know DA3 is coming I plan to finish up my current DAO run, and take that save through DA2 solely because I intend to import it to DA3..

Mass Effect's great but I think Origins has a ton more replay value than ME also the Mako is awful and bothered me whenever I did replays of ME.

I've replayed both DA games several times, but I will admit that the replay value is much lower for me than the ME series.

DAO had great replayability!;)

I played human noble and got sacrifice^_^
I reloaded a save and got dark pact:ph34r:
Then I played the other origin stories and exited when I finished that! :D

^Heck yeah that's like 2 playthroughs, AWESOME!!!!

<_<

You people give DAO too much credit, it was same regardless of orgin except sometimes they said my lord or dirty elf. In fact most of your choices in the game felt like it only changed what hat someone was gonna wear.

Replay value is good, I'll have to see what the third installment does for it though.

I've played DAO more times than I can remember. It's just a fantastic game overall. The mods keep it feeling fresh and entertaining, and of course the characters are amazing.

I've only played DA2 3 times, and I feel that even that was too much. I have started alot of characters for it, but I just cannot get the same enthusiasm for it that I get when playing DAO.

DA:O had great replay value, I didn't get that from DA 2. The lack of interesting zones and the downer ending with Anders certainly didn't help either.

Hoping they will take a page out of DA:O book for DA 3.

It depends on your personal approach to the game.

In my case, after playing through the mage origin story, I considered my character's point of view and had a very RP different experience during the rest of the game compared to when I played an Elf from the Alienage, or a dwarf noble, etc.

....Awkward moment when I've beaten DA:O fifteen times, DAII ten times, Mass Effect eight time, Mass Effect 2 ten times, and Mass Effect 3 three times.

I'm a rper, though, so it's not difficult for me to approach games with different characters in mind each time. And that, in my games, has effected specs, romance choices, general choices, how the character interacts with others, and what larger choices he/she makes.

I played through DAO a few times, though several later playthroughs are done with mods, some are also much later than the first few.
I played through DA2 once. The second time I got literally played as I was yawning in act 1 and decided not to continue. I restarted that playthrough some time later, and decided to stop at the end of act 3.

Origins- six playthroughs, four full ones

2- one playthrough, only in second act

DA2 has no replay value, since the game replays the same environments and dungeon over and over again.

I have played DAO, awakening and Da2 multiples times, mass effect series once and it wasn't my idea to play mass effect, it was my friends idea, they wanted me to see "the why" Me serie ended worst that how da2 ended" they won I still play da2.

Played both DA games through multiple times, though started more characters than I'd finished the game with.

Also replayed ME and ME2 many times, but ME3 I've only played all the way through once - got bored on my second playthrough, started another character, and got bored with it very quickly; haven't touched ME3 since. I

think that the lack of replay value I found in ME3 is probably down to a combination of a few things. First, fewer companions, and you get some of the companions pretty late in the game, which means that there are fewer permutations of companions to take on missions you can try out on subsequent playtrhoughs.

The second factor was my disappointment with how the Rachni were dealt with, and how little effect as major a thing from ME2 as whether you saved the collector base or destroyed it, had on ME3.

Third, the way gaining allies was reduced to a number, and you didn't see troops of all those species fighting alongside you. And finally, of course, the abysmally badly conceived ending that was quite depressing, and seemed to suck the life out of the game, once you knew how it would end.

DA:O, I think, has the best replay value of all the games I mentioned.

I stopped keeping track - it's embarrassing how many times I've played DAO and DA2 (dlc included). I really think the Bioware games are detrimental to people (me) with OCD. hahaha

I think DAO is pretty much infinitely replayable, as mots of BioWare's games are. Because you're free to create any PC personality you can imagine, every playthrough creates a different story, with different decisions and different motives behind them - in one game the choice of whether to save Redcliffe, might be easy, while in another it might be agonising. I love DAO, and have replayed it many many times.

I don't thnk DA2 is replayable at all, however, as we're not able to design Hawke's personality ourselves, so I see no point in replaying it (or, frankly, playing it the first time).

DAO ive played and finished probably about 5 times.Loved the different scenarios and interactions wtih companions at camp. would have been more playthroughs, but I play on a console and playing thru the fade is a huge deterrent for me.

DA2 ive played through about 10 times. The action/combat and look of it help me play thru it much more easily. Plus I actually really got into Hawkes story and enjoyed his interaction with his companions
