After how much the QA guys have been posting of late I'm surprised they've not chimed in at all.

They might not want to comment until they have figured out what is going on--that seems to be their SOP anyway.

Yay!
This is going to be another one of those "Oh yeah guys we tested X and it doesn't work properly.... thanks for finding this bug for us...." moments isn't it?

First test should be to see what happens when you melee a husk. How much armor does a husk have? How much damage does a husk do? How far down does husk health go from its melee? Looks like none. There should actually be some special effect for "fragile" units hitting someone with blade armor...guaranteed death. Maybe not instantly, but if the player lasts so many seconds, that unit should drop dead....preferably a husk's arms and legs will be sliced off

Hey, finally! Thanks. We got some videos of it too, if that would help.

Ah so this is why I see some folks autokicking Batarians on Gold & Platnium. Come on Bioware we gotta get fixes for bugs like this so we can have better racial diversity, etc.
That or they could be pre-butt hurt at your Batarian because they know you're going to "steal" their kills with your
mighty chargefalconpunchshottyblast combo. They hate that!
If playing Soldier/Sentinel, then I don't know why.

Thanks for the response. For the record, all any of us wanted was to know that you were aware of the issue and that it would eventually be looked at. I'm sure literally no one would prefer that you remain silent until you have it figured out.

For what it's worth, I was playing as the Batarian Soldier for a few games earlier today. I chose the Damage Returned evolution at rank 5, and Brutes were charging me left and right, and not a single one got any damage returned to them. Not a bit, let alone 250%
First, thank you Chris for looking into it.
As for not damaging Brutes, on very rare occasion I've actually had Brutes get killed by my Blade Armor when they're on their last thread of life. But most of the time they take no noticable damage. I suspect they simply take less than 1 bar worth of damage, making it appear as if they take zero.

I've never experienced that, but anyone who thinks Batarians aren't Gold or Platinum worthy is seriously retarded. By any reasonable standard there isn't a single Batarian class that can be considered weak.
I wouldn't kick any class just for being the class, but Batarians? Really?

I thought about that, but I did some rough math in my head and this is what I came up with.ParatrooperSean wrote...

I have no numbers on the damage that the Brutes charging melee does, but since it never fails to destroy my full shields, if not more, then that means that it must do at least 825 points of damage, probably more.
So if we consider the damage to be 825, then if it hits my blade armor, it should take 2062.5 damage, according to my Blade Armor being specc'd for 250% damage returned.
On Gold, a Brute has 15210 points of base health. Going by that it should take AT LEAST one bar of his armor off, because each bar is roughly 1521 points.
In truth, I think the Brute's charging melee probably does more than 825 points of damage. I'm pretty sure it will take my Batarian's shields all the way down in one hit, which would make it nearly 1500 points. That means that the damage returned to him would actually be more than 2062.5 points, but you get the idea.
