I always wondered why Blade armor seemed so... Inefficient. I HATE grenades in this game so I never spec them (I know, I know... sue me). My favorite class is the BatSoldier and it just never occurred to me that my armor was weaker than it should be. I always spec for survivability so I just assumed it was my speccing that was costing me damage performance. Please Bioware! if there is any good left in your hearts! Make Toby even more awesome!

I would swear that Stardusk put out a video after the last buff [~3 months ago] where he showed a phantom attacking him and seeming to take no damage on gold.  However, I just checked his channel and could not find the video...perhaps it's private and only accessible via the direct link (or I'm nuts).

Power bugs should be a priority when it comes to fixes... These type of bugs are severly gimping the character kits.. Blade Armor Damage Return and the Shockwave Radius bug (I'm on PC) drives me nuts! Please BioWare fix this on the next patch..

So exactly how much damage should be returned? It seems to me that a 500 pt melee to your character should return more than 500 damage if the math was working right.

At the Damage Returned perk (ev 5), it should be 250% - so 1250 damage from a 500 damage melee. Enemies may as well be throwing themselves into a blender, but the damage returned is more like papercuts.

But we're in crazy space magic math-land where e.g. only 130% damage reduction would mean you take no damage and even then you'd still take damage.

(Not criticising BW, just saying it's complicated... :lol:)

No, plenty of us noticed.  It was the release of the Brawler that brought the issue to the fore again.

Sadly, yeah. The Brawler needs the blade armor effect more than the Soldier and Sentinel do, since he's right in the thick of things a lot more.

And this means we could accept the problem for BatSol and BatSen, but not for the Brawler.

I mean, what other Batarian specced damage return anyway? It was more that nobody relied (or tried to rely) on it so much before.

i skipped BA completely on my Soldier and Sentinal. Now I'm starting to remember why with the batguard/batvan/brofist/brogard. Count this as a +1 to something is wrong and a bump.

Bump, not that I ever specc'd for return more than the one time it took me to realize that it WASNT the magic phantom killer. I still hold out hope that it will be someday.

So BA is bugged/doesn't return damage? I just got the Brawler. We shouldn't choose the Damage Return option?

Um.. I dunno if it's been pointed out yet but Blade Armor has a damage cap of 2000.. So if it's doing the same amount of damage, no matter what unit hits you, you've reached that cap. If it's doing no damage what so ever, then there may be a problem.

Edit: Read more and now I feel stupid. :unsure:

I can confirm that Blade Armour does return damage, Possessed Abominations man :( Tried to let it grab me so I wouldn't be nuked, Blade Armour had a different idea.
