My favorite thing about him is getting insta-klled by Phantoms while they're still staggered *and* during my falcon punch animation.
Charge + Heavy Melee = Phantom killer, except when they decide to cheat. Unfortunately they only have to press the you-lose button once.

Husks and Abominations just shouldn't be able to dry-hump Batarians wearing blade armor like that.
The definitely shouldn't be able to cancel a Falcon Punch after the animation has begun, but they can and do.

Yes, the theory has been addressed and that can't be what's happening. The lack of damage returned goes far beyond a meager 35 or 50 percent DR.

I saw a theory proposed (earlier on this thread, I believe) that surmised that the issue was a damage cap to Blade Armor's damage output, where instead of simply doing max damage (which I believe they said was ~2000?), it simply does nothing when it hits the cap. Playing the Batarian Vanguard over the weekend, blade armor DOES do damage on both bronze and silver, which wouldn't be affected by said cap, so maybe the cap being bugged is indeed the issue.

Brawler doesn't have Ballistic Blades, so Soldier >>> Brawler. 'Nuff said.
I find the Brawler to be way better than the other two Batarians because his tanking abilities are on Kroguard levels. Charging serves the same purpose as BBs: staggering enemies so you can finish them off. I rarely die as a Batarian Brawler just because he's damn near invincible with all the damage reduction stats he has when going melee. The Soldier is fun to play as, but he's not as effective in terms of tanking and suriviving. When you can take damage from 2 Primes, a Hunter, a Pyro and a Rocket Trooper firing at the same time, you know you might as well be invincible.

ya i dunno cause i havent done any testing myself and havent even played the batvan since i got it since release.
was just throwing that theory out there, also the DR with blade armor plus the melee DR in combination was what made me wonder.
but i have noticed on the soldier that sometime when a brute on gold runs me over or i get run over on purpose it sometimes doesnt do much on return and sometimes they double stagger hit during a charge.
sometimes zero damage is given back on the double hit they do.
i also dont pay much attention during those situtaions as im plotting my next 10 moves, but hey if you guys can figure out what exactly it is then awesome. sorry im not much help either.
just thought after all this typing that, what if damage returned is actually based on the percentage the player shield bar is damaged, meaning if we have cyclonic mod 4 on would it still return the same damage as having zero shield mods on.
just trying to help think of an angle here guys, not trying to steal the show, im just throwing out ideas for my betters to test.
