I don't know which ME2 you guys played, but in my version the Scion COULD NOT hit you with shockwave if your were behind proper cover (meaning not just standing behind an object, but leaning against it = the cover mechanism in ME2).

That was what the stasis was for. :D

i will readily admit  i never even considered this, since you can't damage things under stasis in ME2 (maybe that was me1?) , i had deemed it many bad things, such as stupid, useless, unncessary etc.
i suppose this part would have been much easier  haha..

oh wait, my insanity playthrough was before shadow broker anyway. couldnt have.

It was for suspending enemies while the platform under them was still moving leaving them suspended in thin air. So when the stasis wore of the hapless enemy would take a looong dive.

But there won't be any Harby trash-talk when they're possessed? I miss the taunting. :crying:

yeah... There was some discussion about that... In the end we decided to keep it out, I can easily imagine it getting pretty annoying. The pilot is chirpy enough as is .

That said if its really something that people are looking for, we could always look into it for later on.

Yes please reconsider adding Harby trash talking, I'm know that a lot of people would want that too. Who wouldn't want to hear "Assuming Direct control" again.

My Javelin Mark 9 Geth Infiltrator is looking forward to test his might against those nasty fu*ks. I hated them in ME2 - so hard almost impossible to kill.

The headshots with a Widow was always a rewarding moment though.

And I also don't recall Scion's attack hitting me when I was in cover.

They were nasty, true that.

And they will now be on Harbinger steroids :crying:

The Collectors have changed a fair bit... The feeling should still be there, but their mechanics are different from ME2. We've tried to spice them up a bit and improve on them .

This already hurts me! #LOL

As a hint... every collector enemy can be possessed now... and they each get additional abilities in their possessed form.

I don't mind the chirpy pilot, and would totally not mind random Reapers taunting us. Hearing a little dialog and some voice cues is nice! Only problem with the pilot is that sometimes he tells us to go faster when it isn't possible (like when we're all in the hack circle and finishing up in perfect time).

Main thing I'd like would be if the pilot (and maybe a taunting Reaper) could have a random cycle of VOs the way some classes seem to. Would totally love having a female pilot giving us the Chuck Yeager style directions.

Harbingers trash task is the olive in the collector martini. Even if it is just reusing any any of the non shepard specific lines from me2 combat it would add great flavour.

Doesn't even have to be Harbinger! I could totally believe that other Reapers get involved in the action. I mean there's what, thousands of them razing the galaxy?

Fun Fact: If you were actually IN cover when Shockwave came from a Scion, you actually didn't take damage. The cover might have to be between you and the Scion, can't remember. but I used this a lot - it can't just be 'stuff' between you, you actually have to press A and activate the cover system.

EDIT: forgot to mention, you couldn't be peeking out of cover at all, otherwise shockwave hits you as if you weren't in cover. Harbinger's OP, cheap flaming ball of black and yellow doom, though; that always hits, through cover, anytime, anywhere, does damage, instantly removes shields, and staggers you for days on end each time it hits, all the while you're dancing like a jackwad out in the open, unable to do ANYTHING (no function works while staggered by it and there's NO way to fight it), and there's no stopping it; if it's going to hit, it will hit, through cover or not. Collector Ship ambush mission was 5000x harder than any other mission in the game. >.>

Maybe it's because I am an avid user of the best cover I can get at all times. It may also be because I never bothered with insanity level. But I never found Scions to be a particular problem. I had to google them to remind myself what they looked like as fear had not imprinted them on my memory. Preatorians on the other hand. Brrrrr. Possesed Preatorians... Aaaarrggghhhh! Run Away! Run Awaayyy!!

Scions weren't an issue for me on ME2. Praetorians - continuously regaining barriers, soo much running away.
Both dreading and looking forward to scions/praetorian combo
