Ok, so forgive me if this has already been discussed but...I got a new sylvania HD TV for Xmas and I started to play Dragon Age on it thinking it would look GREAT compared to the old box I was playing it on before...but it actually looks a lot worse. Things are all blocky and the color is weird. I adjusted all of the settings as much as I could and things still look weird. The only thing that looks better is the text which I can see a lot clearer but everything else looks worse. Is there anything I can do? Should I buy an HDMI cable for my 360 or whatever?

How have you connected it up at the moment?

What do you mean by that?

Sounds to me that you're playing it at normal widescreen resolution on a ginormous (or at least, rather large) TV which is why it's blocky (as to why the color is weird I have no idea unless you tried to explain it in a bit more detail. Namely, how is it - weird?).
Generally speaking though, if you do play it on your HDTV, you should definitely play it on a HDMI cable though.

I can deal with the color I guess. How do I change the resolution?

Actually, nevermine. I actually needed to set it to widescreen. That seems to have helped.

Yes, HDMI will typically improve the picture quality a bit. It's not a magic fix for all problems - e.g. the quality of the TV and the TV settings will also have a big impact on the end result.

your problem is a sylvania tv. Hope u didn't use your own money on it. Sony, Samsung, or Toshiba is the only way to go. (talking about your color problem)

If you are using the component / Composite cable that came with your xbox check and make sure that the switch on the cable itself is set to HDTV. I know it sounds silly but a lot of people miss this step.
At 22 inchs you aren't going to notice much of a difference, if any, between component and HDMI. The only drawback using Component is that if you are going to use the xbox to upscale dvd's you need to use either an HDMI cable or the VGA cable if you can find one. The component cable will not upscale dvd's.
