I actually wouldn't mind them trying different character types because the ones they have are starting to get old. Just about all of there characters remind me of one from biowares previous games.

Agree with the whole post lol and glad to hear those parts in bold. Would hate it if somehow the "I dont like..." threads actually impacted on the casting. I personally love having chars I "don't" like, even if they are followers, spices it up and gives rivalrys.David Gaider wrote...
I find it a bit amusing that these "no more characters like--" threads have started up.
We tend to try new things from game to game, just because having another character that tells the exact same story would be a bit boring-- the ability of people to squeeze characters into archetypes notwithstanding. Personally, I have zero concern if characters are part of the same broad archetype, especially when some of these archetype lists include characters that tell completely different stories with different tones and which only have the vaguest similarities. That's the nature of archetypes.
Plus, our cast for DA3 is already set. If we've made a new character which is honestly the sort you never ever wanted to see again... well, you are officially SOL.
