Dragon age should turn into a single player RPG.

Also, all NPCs you encounter should express a distaste of not only the previous characters, but the very concept of the game as well.

Dragon Age already is/was a single player RPG? Right? I'm not crazy here, am I?

Also, I have no idea what your second statement even means, so I'll reserve judgement.

I find it a bit amusing that these "no more characters like--" threads have started up.

We tend to try new things from game to game, just because having another character that tells the exact same story would be a bit boring-- the ability of people to squeeze characters into archetypes notwithstanding. Personally, I have zero concern if characters are part of the same broad archetype, especially when some of these archetype lists include characters that tell completely different stories with different tones and which only have the vaguest similarities. That's the nature of archetypes.

Plus, our cast for DA3 is already set. If we've made a new character which is honestly the sort you never ever wanted to see again... well, you are officially SOL.

/Sigh of relief. Maybe we can all talk about something else now?

You can't stop trolls with official statements. ^_^

Offical statements and lore give birth to trolls. It just gives them cause to find something else to bicker about.

Hooray!

I'm really going to miss Fenris :(. On the other hand, seeing him without Hawke would just be weird. So I suppose I'll just have to go play DA2 for the 13th time to see him again >.>.

Have we been told who will and won't appear? He could appear as a NPC if not a squadie.

I fully expect to see Hawke and his/her LI again in DA3 in some shape or form.

...Isabela, Sten, Zevran, Carver, Leliana etc etc...

Cause you know, storys/games etc are so much more interesting when we love and adore every character cause they are all share the same opinions, views and add zero diversity.

Bring on the parrot and zombie followers that will just repeat and agree with everything we say and do.

So basically the Mass Effect 3 squadmates. :P

(Excluding Javik, of course)

I'm good just as long as they don't try to steal my sweetroll and claim that I've been a good friend to them, and that means something even only if I just happened to say a word they liked (something like Battleborn, for example) or looked in their general direction.

Realy, these are the character that most everyone loves, and are a key part of Dragon Age as a whole. Also, they will try new character types; they may come from the same background, but no-one's stroy is ever the same. Character's from the same background but with a differt mind set of how thing went and returning PC and NPC as characters help build depth, and makes the storyline alot less one sided.

Actually, EDI disagreed with my Shepard more than Javik did.

Not that I'm saying I want characters like ME3 EDI as teammates, because I don't.
