"No species can remain neutral during the Reaper conflict. Allied forces are recruiting anyone, soldier or mercenary, smart, fast, and tough enough to survive galactic war. The most experienced operatives form squads to secure objectives, evacuate civilians, and battle Cerberus or the Reapers deep in enemy territory. Initially led by N7 Alliance marines, these squads have been nicknamed the N7 Special Ops. In light of these teams' exemplary service and remarkable bravery, the Alliance has allowed this unofficial name to spread across the ranks as a sign of respect for their efforts"tangalin wrote...
Well, I guess you wont survive long in a zombie apocalyspe, since according to you IT IS COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to get some gear and fight when your very survival is a stake. According to the lore, these "spec ops" groups we are playing as are just anyone Hackette could find to hold a gun and fight, especially later in the timeline. If a volus spent some cash, got some kinetic barriers, tech, and a gun, you really think Hackett would turn down any help in that situation, especially help that is essentially a cloaking combat medic?
Face it, they are not breaking lore in any way, even if they were slightly (they arent) it wouldn't matter since they are still based in the ME universe unlike the cross universe thing you suggested. They're abilities are just as much an asset to a team as having high damage, if you play them right (which applies to any character).
You can continue to argue if you wish, but you are empirically wrong on all counts.
Taken straight from the War Assets text.
Your "proof" if you call it that is nothing but hot air. The N7 spec ops were comprised of experienced mercs and soldiers. Where exactly can you point at to say there is an experienced merc Volus or and experience Volus soldier?
The closest you come is the Auxilary units for the Turians, and even those Volus wouldnt see combat. As I said earlier, they are not suited for combat. Instead their support rolls would be more along the lines of a quartermaster or supply officer. Unless of course logic isnt used in deployments and we all know the Turians dont use logic in their military..../sarcasim (yes you get this bit of sarcasim because I am tired of arguments like yours that have no basis in the ME universe).
Also I have prepared a plan in case of a zombie apocalypse. So yes I would survive, at least for a time. But thats besides the point. Even if you armed the Volus they physically are not up to the task of combat. Thats why they are a protectorate of the Turian Empire. Thats why war is all but non-existant on their planet. Heck even in their descriptions for War Assets it states they prefer air attacks instead of infantry fights.
Next time take your petty insults elsewhere. They dont matter much here as you have provided absolutely no proof to substantiate your claims.

Stop playing as a volus and I won't kick you.
Childish. I'm not pro-Volus, though I'll probably end up playing as them. Have you even seen what they can do to support the team or are you just an ignorant douche? Lulz @ the bully mentality (pick what I want you to pick, and I'll let you stay mentality)

Good point. Very good point. Unfortunately, the anti-Volus crowd has not an ear for logic.

Probably because the Vorcha are actually combat capable and have been since they were introduced? Hmmm not sure how you could miss that one.Himmelhauk wrote...

Seriously, Volus are in the lore.
Goddamn, they fight against extinction, even an old lady in a wheelchair could take a shotgun to defend her home.
so true... just like Rambo 4 "there is never a reason to kill" 30 mins later *bashing enemy head in with a rock*

Hmmm not sure how you could miss the fact Volus are support characters. Interesting indeed. Support =/ Frontline commando. Support = behind the scenes assisting teammates and rarely engaging in intense combat.

Yep. It happens, and I am unfazed by it. If they decide not to kick then I leave simple as that. No harm done to other parties. They all have the choice to not vote to kick.
I am not forcing them to kick somebody if they dont want to. In which case I excersize my own control over my game and leave the lobby to find one more suitable to my tastes.
Again where is the issue with what I am doing? Is it that your personally affronted by me not wanting to play with a Volus? If thats the case then too bad, its the internet. Grow a spine and deal with it. Personal preference is all you get on the internet. Excersize your own in your lobbies. Or is this asking too much of people these days?
And yes I am being snide, but also serious. If you realistically can not promote your own personal preferences while playing a game then you really have no business playing it online.
You're also being obtuse right now. There are 2 ways to exercise your free will (upto and including the game) decently or being an ass about it.
Entering a random lobby the game threw you in and wanting to manipulate it to suit your specific needs is being ass about it.
If you have such specific needs. Make your own lobby from the start and I'll support your right to kick from that.
As I said, though not directly, you're quite in your right to make a volus less lobby game. Or a kroganless or whatever...
