Is he not capable of taking cover? So you can't grab kill with him? I guess when your so short that your head barely sticks over cover you don't need to go into cover in the traditional way.

Took it for a spin just now and it is a very good support role. Team will suffer greatly tho if they rely on him too much. His proxy scan thing is amazing: it's not a wannabe tac scan by any means, it's just as good. Even it's detonation damage is decent. Where he truly shines is when teams work together and he spams his shield power (sorry forgot the name).

Also, I would suggest taking either a falcon or a scorpion to complement his proxy mines. This will make him great for staggering entire groups for the rest of the team to mow down

i'm gonna have fun playing the volus just to hear them talk lol....on a serious note, i like engineers, so i'm find a way to make him work....figure i'd use him when i want a relaxed game and let otehrs do the heavy fighting...

I actually like Volus Engineer. His Recon Mine power is an *** kicker of a power. It has insane damage capabilities if you spec it right.
