I hate the fact that I just got a stupid Volus Adept, but still have no Typhoon.
Why can't I trade this thing in for a bloody Typhoon?!

Love it.
Now if only there were a Volus Soldier with a jetpack and shoulder mounted auto cannon / missile launcher...

Great, well-balanced char. Fun to be, comforting to have next to you. I still want friendly fire though.

I would have loved to see protheans instead because lore is pretty much dead in mp anyway now

I like the Volus Engineer and Adept we have right now, but a Volus Vanguard? Really? Isn't the Vanguard class about high risk, high reward offense? A volus charging in is going to look like a squashed bug on a windshield.

The Volus are AMAZING!

They are by far the funniest, and weakest class yet!!!!

The awkward moment when you consider elcor are considered more military material than volus, and still you see volus in MP. I BLAME YOU NIFTU CAL!!!
But once broken, it remains broken, so add protheans, hanar, elcor, and signature characters like ashley, kaidan, wrex, etc

I totally love the Volus but I see one BIG problem with the class...
The fact that you can't see your groups shieldbars makes it almost impossible to know when to use shieldboost unless ppl are screaming like little girls when the shields drop and you just happen to not have it on cooldown at that time, so I have a suggestion for this:
Why don't you make Shieldboost a persistant skill that like shoot out a pulse every 3rd or every 5th second that instantly boost shields for all teammates within range, this will probably help the race survive since ppl mostly kick Volus in gold/platinum lobbies atm because they're small and weak. This way you can run around the legs of the other players like a supportcharacter and ppl will love you for it.
That's my opinion, otherwise, love the race

I like the Volus, tried just the adept so far, but I'll try the engineer soon.
They're exactly as they should be on a battlefield, funny, physically weak but quite powerful( the biotic one is not bad, not bad at all!)...

I unlocked both of them and the first time I played one my reaction was : "OMG I'm so cuuuute when I dodge !!"
Then I died .... a lot ..... And after a litle analysis I learned how to play him and started to reaaally love them.

Unlocked a volus engineer and only had time to play him once last night. I choose silver, and it was fun, I was last in the score, but we had two hack objectives and having the shield boost definitely helped a ton.

There's nothing quite like having a little meatball running around you, restoring your shields for the entire match in a random game, stasising troopers for you to headshot even though you don't really need it and then joining you in a heavy melee of approval. If this unit had a heart, it would be warmed. <3

I am not decided about the Volus. They are very unique, both in good and bad ways. Esp. in their lack of cover. Please see http://social.biowar.../index/14432384 for some arguments.

Played several Golds with volus, nobody tried to kick me out.
And the scream "Lost shields!" or its variations are usually good triggers for Shield Boost

I like them I just don't think they deserved to be ultrarares. I liked it when it was only the elite weapons as ultras

Agree.
Doing a sideways roll on corners and rolling down slopes. Wonderfully cute.
But these guys are no push-over if played right.
(assuming they are all guys - would female Volus be, er, more voluptuous (cough)...)
Yes - new Volus players do die - the style is very different. My Volus Engineer plants a Recon Mine in the thick of it, then pops behind cover and - 'boom'....
I had a Volus-hating griefer trying to melee my Volus with a puny rifle jab (pathetic).
My Volus looked at him, planted a Recon Mine at his feet, took two paces backward and 'boom' - clouds of flame...
I think the point was made.

Aesthetically, they are absolutely adorable, esp. with a Hurricane. Gamewise, I've yet to unlock one, but I'm glad that most every one Volus user I've played with has been surprisingly good with them.

Volus Engineer with a Phaeston is surprisingly badassful. I even managed to top the score on Gold before the whole team perished on wave 6.

The Volus are wonderful ... if people use them right ... but most people I see playing them are rather selfish and don't support the heavier damage dealing players like a destroyer with a Typhoon or Krogan Soldier/Sentinel. If more people started using Shield Boost more rather than spamming other powers they'd be much more effective.

For the love of...
STILL no Typhoon, but both Volus classes.
"They won't affect you getting any Ultra Rares" they said...:'(
