One thing that is lacking is that you should give it like 50 or 80 points for every block of shield restored for allies

reward helping your team mates, lots of other games do the same

there really is not no reason to not give exp for healing? it helps the other guy kill a monster by saving him half the time, so reward it really

also adept needs buffing but eng is fantasic

100% agree, this could be said for Geth Turrets and the Demolisher Pylon too.  Reward players for support rolls.  Maybe somethign for the damage reduction too, like for the defensive build of the Justicar Sphere, ext.

Glad to have the Volus onboard. My first run with the Volus Adept started as I was in the middle of distributing points - which meant I got dropped into Firebase Dagger on Silver against Collectors with nothing but Stasis 1 and rank X Predator and Shuriken.

Damn but the Volus can waddle fast, and having cloak and an emergency Shield for its melee and heavy melee proved very useful.

I do wish Volus could use cover to lean out from the side and get better aim... but I suspect giving Volus limited use of the cover mechanics would have required too much reworking of the code for the cover mechanics, so it's understandable.

Looking forward to future Volus additions! Something something Sentinel something.

I'm really looking forward to the Volus vanguard. Not really for legit playing, since it would get killed after a charge most of the time. But for the lawls of throwing around a ball like character all around the battle field. Volus bowling.

I used to think it's silly, but in a galactic war where losing means extinction, them joining makes sense. I like that they don't have melee and that they can't take cover, so yeah, job well done.

The volus are doomed to be unplayed after the new wears off unless their offensive abilities are improved. Particularly the adept.

Forget about improvements; unless their powers were nerfed, I could see playing the Engineer far into the future. Sure, there will be the people who are dumb and only care about the scoreboard, but I see that as a good thing that will limit the amount of volus running around (more lore friendly), leaving only the useful volus players (gameplay friendly). Volus Vanguards seems destined to fail unless they have a unique Charge (why have Charge and Shield Boost? Is that really going to be a class that uses Charge strictly for damage?), but determined people should at least continue using the Engineer and the Sentinel (Decoy, Combat Drone, Shield Boost) after it's released.

Having used both several times now, I really love 'em!

The Biotic Orbs and the Recon Mine alone are just fantastic. Had a Silver game with 61k in points with my little Volus Engineer, they can good on offense as well as defence with the right approach.

I was very against it, I just felt it wasn't fitting for their established backstory and they clearly aren't designed to be frontline troops in terms of physical limitations. I just couldn;t take the idea seriously of them being on an even footing carrying the same gear and being equal to other species in these battlefields.

But, I was one to change my mind entirely, they were implemented with great thought, care and a reasonable amount of humour. Their battlefield role is unqiue, yet they can stand on their own if they need to. They have limitations due to their physical size and their alternative skills offer a really unique playstyle, fitting of 'auxilliary troops'.

I love them.

I unlocked the Volus engineer yesterday. The inability to take cover was a bit confusing but I still had fun playing and other then the shrinking of the weapons I didn't find a playable Volus ruining my experience. I'm guessing the Volus are one step closer to becoming a Council race!

Well that was unexpected...

I just got both the Volus Adept and the Volus Engineer unlocked in the same PSP.

It's not even my birthday.

speaking of Volus, my Volus Adept is bugged, after a game crash.. he suddenly had 54 points left to use.. and I had maxed up almost everything.

after maxing up everything, I still had points left!
then after shutting down the game, and joining a few hours later... the Volus now said -24 points :|

as for unlocking.. the engineer still eludes me.. hilarious considering I got the Adept the first pack I got after the new patch was up.
then started to get the new Turians... again.. and again.. and again.

At first I thought--not lore-breaking like some people are saying, but it still seems kinda ridiculous, especially the Adept. And aw crap, they're URs! Then of course I promptly unlocked the Voldept first. ;)

But after seeing them in action, I just love the funny little guys. You can't help but giggle when you watch one of those zaftig little fellas tagging along behind a Krogan at a breakneck pace. They're delightful, both to play and play with.

The engineer really kicks ass. Lay down a recon + proxy mine and your teammates literally eats through bosses. Great guy to combine with a warping character, as well as infiltrators.
As far as the adept: Im just glad his biotic orb does more damage than the delirious Volus in ME2 ;)

Had the volengine for a few days and was thrilled. Just pulled the adept and am still laughing. It's like a non-joke joke character. Played London and couldn't see over anything, but still killed things. Biotic orbs are awesome semi-auto biotic shots. What a fun and versitile character to play. Like 'em both...volus are amusing, but not a true joke class. The store was very nice to me this week.

I figure this is the place for a shout out of volus love. The Good Guy210(x-box), you were the the first volus I played with(sounds dirty), that played the volus correctly, as a support class. You saved my ass a few times, I hope you see this. You did good son.

Niftu Cal is a genuine biotic god.
It's just that he was trying to use a move that his class never learns. Plus he was level 1.

But I just got my Voldept with the obvious name, and yes. Volus are pretty much the best sci-fi clerics ever. Healing, buffing defence, while mezzing by debuffing enemy defence and applying stuns to mooks - all with pathetic weapon damage, even with a Hurricane. (Well, that's my Fitnessless build at least)

Got a lot of fun from different view angle. Would appreciate having a few more characters being either tall like a scion or small as a volus - it makes a notable difference

Volus with a Paladin or Carnifex is like a Mini-Me Dirty Harry on the field.
