Dragon Age III companion?
Seriously though, making a tank is your responsibility. If you want one you should allocate your attritbutes correctly, apparel should come second IMO.

If you guys are true fans you know what I meant.
Your post could have done without this insult. I was on your side until I read this line.
As for the topic, what's wrong with the heavy armor in previous Dragon Age games? DAO's heavy and massive armor was fine, and Aveline and Warrior Hawke's armor certainly fit the role of a "tank" character. Only blood-mage spec Merrill doesn't match the generic "tank" mold.

I was being insulted with the posts in this thread. My intelligence I felt was being put down. I just wanted more variety and visually appropriate armour that looks like it has weight to it unless it's a special lightweight tank armour. Anything is possible in a fantasy world.

No one was insulting you or your intelligence. They were just having a little fun at the idea of a tank looking more like a tank.
It was a play on words

As for Hawke, many of the generic plate armor varieties looked like re-skinned Sentinel armor. I suppose Bioware could add a bit more bulk to the armor, but I was satisfied with what was available. Unfortunately, the best looking armor is mostly dlc. Legacy and MotA have nice warrior armor.

Yeah I miss being able to equip my character with massive armour. I hope DA 3 brings back massive armour. It looked pretty cool.
IMO it depended on the armor and who was wearing it. The Legion of the Dead armor, for example, looked pretty good and realistic on just about anyone. Some of the other armor had shoulderplates of doom to rival this guy:

This is why I liked their idea to allow us to equip our party members' armor but change its aesthetic to fit each character. The heavy, hulking armor that looks good on a dwarf looks awkward and weird on an elf, and vice versa.

I thought both of those characters "looked" like "tanks," though.
And the trolling has been notably mild in this thread. I'd hate to see what you think of the majority of the threads in the ME3MP section.
