But if 90% of a community needs to learn something, I would deem something to be wrong with the game. You can not develop a game completely for 10% of the total user base. Especially not for a multiplayer game that to be honest has already got competition enough from all the other games.
Al these changes did was instead of making me enjoy the game further, it has just been frustrating me over and over again. And honestly why did the devs decide to make it harder? For the people that are clearing gold it was already hard enough, heck and they still had an extra difficulty above it. On top of that with the intake of a new enemy class they could have kept everything else the same and just made this new race, ergo collectors, difficulty on platinum insane or nightmarish. Thus catering to the casuals, the semi casuals, semi hardcore, the hardcore and the elite instead of having developped the game into something only the elite seem to enjoy.
And honestly what is wrong with sitting behind a counter inside cover, doing what a sniper is supposed to do? Instead of running around like a chicken without a head in circles speedrunning to wipe out the waves as they come.
.
The amount of time I have been sync killed is driving me crazy... and not because I happen to go to close, no no just because they warp into me and instantly grab me. Or I dodge, they warp and boom it grabs me. I run away, it warps in front of me boom dead. Or the fun things... ball of shame and I die from some form of damage over time thingy. Not to mention all the other ways of getting barfed on or stomped.
Ah well... have fun with the game, i'll just go back to some other game that stops frustrating me with unlocks that cost either way to much cashwise, or take way to long to acquire within the game. Not to mention the fact that I can not decide what I want to unlock, hell no I got to rely on some crazy random roll hoping that I will finally get what I want... and after spending 1 mill I still haven't gotten any of the new characters...
And if you really want to make people choose the difficulty they should be playing based on their skill level... then put all the credit rewards on the same level no matter what difficulty you do (meaning : bronze 140k, silver : 140k, gold : 140k and platinum : 140k). Since they are playing the harder game because they want to be challenged no? Or test their skill in the game and not just steamroll it for credits?
And the people that are only in it for the farming will be playing bronze thus helping the newbies acquire their unlocks easilly. While the people that want a challenge won't get annoyed by people farming, since they will all be sitting in bronze. While the others have silver, gold and platinum diffiulty for it.

I noticed a "Target must be completely frozen". What about armoured targets? where it just chills them?

I have only stepped up to gold because that was worth my time to attain my unlocks. If I am unable to routinely finish it like before, I rather quit the game. And I figure that I am not alone. I am playing a game to have fun and see progress, not to feel skilled or boast about my skill on some forum. So again, lets make bronze reward 140k credits and i'll swallow my pride and go to silver.

Now it feels more like a chore, like no fun. And if I have to choose between playing a game to feel frustrated or quit... then I'd rather not waste my time and spend it on one of the 50 other games I still got to finish.
And yes if I have to go back to unlocking the stuff as slow as I was doing it in silver... i'd feel frustrated.
Heck it has nothing to do with whaa whaa... I mostly only see the whaa whaaing from the people that find it not hard enough... whaa whaa we are bored, we can do it with our both hands tied behind our backs... and whaa whaa see those losers farm FBWGP, whaa whaa whaa they are getting easy credits whaa whaa whaa they are not playing the game like I want them to play this game whaa whaa whaa make the game harder whaa whaa whaaa platinum isn't hard enough I can still solo it whaa whaa whaa I don't feel special if someone else can do it whaa whaa whaa.
And honestly, by introducing this new enemy faction they could have so catered to the people that found the current game to easy by making this factions gold like the others hardcore platinum, while platinum would be hellmode. There would be a chance for people to grow into the harder stuff by progression without losing to much of the efficiency for unlocking. But no... that would take away to much away from the microtransactions... Not to mention that some people wouldn't feel special anymore...

already saw it, didn't like it at all, still don't...- When 3 of 4 players are ready in the lobby, there is a 20 second countdown before the match automatically begins
why do you need it? First time it occured to me, when I was respecing a character and the game started before I was finished, great. Now I know I have to get "ready" and unready again for a new 20sec countdown. With others I see they're still changing equipment during the 20 secs, again it makes absolutely no sense to start the game before they're finished...
If they don't move at all I can still kick them, so what do I need this 20sec rule for?
I think this is a brilliant feature. I really don't know why people don't have the courtesy to either exit the lobby or inform their team-mates that they need a few minutes to make some changes. If you don't then people have no way of knowing how long you intend to be gone. I can't tell you how many times I've sat down to play a quick match because I was on a 30 minute break and had to leave before ever playing the game due to waiting in lobbies for people that were doing something, at great length, unbeknownst to the rest of us. (And yes, this usually involved switching lobbies about a half-dozen times before giving up.)
If I or a friend are hosting a lobby to play with friends and have a random or two, I always make sure to tell people if we have a hold up on time, and approximately how long we expect it to take. The irony is that the better players usually stick around due to our willingness to comminicate effectively and be considerate of our fellow players.
Time is money. Don't go carelessly squandering it for other people.

is it a coincidence that so many people are starting to complain about nerfing the enemies now that they CANT farm and sit behind a counter the whole game? 90% of the community needs to learn how to actually use tactics and team synergy.
I'm sure it's become real popular to bash that strategy, and it is a strategy, but how is it much different than sitting in Array Control on Dagger? A couple of people do that in pretty much every match because it's just the smartest thing to do. The new hazard might help to fix that "problem" now, so why couldn't there just be a hazard on White that discourages camping, instead of the inevitable snow version of a sandstorm? Maybe a slow DOT from the freezing temperatures that is applied as the wave continues or until someone hits a heating switch ala Reactor. And do you really think that people haven't figured out a way around the new White? Instead of 2 people sitting behind the console facing the old lower staircase, those 2 people just go to the top of the new lower staircase. Voila. It took 2 days to figure that out, and now the geth are just needlessly tougher in the other 51 map-difficulty combinations.

I agree almost completely with the above statement. Maybe not 140k credits but certainly higher payout I'v gotten alot of unlocks but it was far and few between, anyway the only way I played Gold was on Fire Base White and I don't care who knows it. It was certainly not farming just because its the best position to hold on the map does not make it farming, I love the game but without that spot I can sparcely play on Gold and Platinum is not an option. I only switched to a higher difficulty because of the payout other than that I don't enjoy the game, why should more casual players be dumped in a hole because they don't play on harder difficulties. when the reward does not equal the time spent, people tend to quit playing.Walhorin wrote...

I'm confused about the removed characters. From what I remember some of them were Krogan Shaman, two Batarians only one of which I remember was called a Batarian Brawler, two Asari, a Asari Huntress and another I can't recall, a Turian Saboteur, another vorcha, a Quarian Marksman and a new Drell. I probably forgot a few, maybe but that's all I can remember.
I think all of those characters are going to be released 4 at a time over a certain period of time.

Well then arent you the sweetest thing. considering this game is an RPG (Role Playing Game) and considering you probably came from a FPS it's understandable that you have that opinion but it is an RPG and just because they put multiplayer into it does not change it. The "10%" of new Mass Effect players need to understand that just because your more competitive than the other "90%" does not mean they are lesser than you and if you want the challenge then beat your head against the wall on the higher difficulties, but when YOU complain about not getting a high enough payout because you "put more effort into it" please take a flying leap into a manhole. This game is entertainment not a job take that crap elsewhere.Mookiemook85 wrote...

Before this update I played on Gold difficulty on various maps and succeeded.
Now everyone drops in the earlier waves like flies. It's definately not just me. People with 1000+ N7 rank or even 4000+ die just as fast. Playing public on Gold is not an option anymore. Playing on Silver was never an option. I just hope I and other people adapt get better or else I might just as well quit.
Game is mostly frustrating now rather than fun.

Exactly! I used to be able to cakewalk through silver and gold, even though I often had to carry the team.
Sometimes now I pause silver just to check that I'm not actually in a gold match.
This game almost feels like work sometimes.
Seems like a lot of BSN acts elitist toward less experienced people, and then complains of a shrinking playerbase.

everything you just said makes no sense, and telling me to kill myself over a video game is pathetic, you must be really upset that you cant cower behind your desk as much anymore. A role playing game? its a co-op multiplayer.....as in the team struggles when garbage players like yourself have to actually move around and not camp behind a desk now.....this idea of the easiest strategy to win even if its cheesy comes from FPS players who camp in corners and frustrate everyone....stop acting like you hiding behind a damn desk repeatedly on the same map over and over was actually fun, the farming was killing the game because every game searched ended up in firebasewhite with little tryhards like you doing mindless gameplay just to get your shiney new guns and feel like you actually are good at something.

On the killing yourself point, it's hard to use hyperbole to completely misconstrue what he said when you actually quote him. And your idea that people were just doing GWGs in some sort of joyless trance shows just how out of touch you are. "Garbage players" aren't conspiring against you to ruin the game you love to dominate. I promise.

Exactly how I feel.
People want to feel elite and awesome should go and play Gold or Platinum. Silver is supposed to be for people who want a little bit of a challenge, since the AI on Bronze is ****ing retarded, and you make jack crap in credits from beating Bronze. People play Silver as a midway in credits gathering and challenge from Bronze and Gold/Platinum.
But now Silver is a punishing experience for people who want a relaxing, fun and challenging time. Hell, it's like the entire MP has turned into a system to funnel credits from the player. Get them to use their consumables, but have their consumables not work. Medigel? Sorry, you used it up but it didn't work. So sad, too bad. Same for Ops pack. Aw shucks. Got dropped out of a game at Wave 11 after using all your items? We weep for you. Guess you'll have to buy more. Luckilly we have an Equipment pack for all your consumable needs!
It's really become a pile of crap now. Maybe I should leave it to all the people who derive their self worth from how badass they are at crappy games. Games are only for the hardest of the hardcore now. Screw that noise.
I like this game and I like playing and unlocking different characters, but I have a simple rule: when the time spent in a game is not worth the rewards gotten from a game, the game is a pile of **** and needs to be junked, and ME3's MP is quickly getting to that line.

Come on, my computer loads any FB faster than it takes him to open the dammed shop AND most of the time the 20sec counter gets 2 zero before I can buy a damn thing, let alone do something
But yeah, perfect solution against the "lone A******" that refuses to get ready and some guy does not bother with giving the last required kick vote because the one who should get kicked happens to be the host >.<
