IE ones that have multiple levels but are the same challenge. The only examples are the Promotion one (but since that requires all silver level it isnt an issue). And the one that has the weekend promotions, but that is running in a different way as well.

- Reaper Mastery goal changed from 15 to 18

So it is not a bug?!?

No making require 18 is not a bug

Will people who had already completed the Mastery challanges before the requirement went up keep their banners? I unlocked Death Guard before the requirement went up, so was wondering if I get to keep it or if I have to unlock it again?

"The changes below were put in place to fix a bug where some players could no longer progress after unlocking a Gold challenge:
    - Combat Mastery goal changed from 9 to 12
    - Cerberus Mastery goal changed from 17 to 21
    - Reaper Mastery goal changed from 15 to 18
    - Geth Mastery goal changed from 12 to 18
    - Collector Mastery goal changed from 12 to 15"


The above might solve the bug for those that haven't encountered it yet (= those that haven't completed one of these five challenges).  However, for those that have, this didn't fix anything. 

Before the patch, I had completed 4/5 of the above (all but Collector Mastery).  Just checked my progress into the four I had completed and here's what I found:

Combat Mastery:  Current Progress 4/12.  However, 6/12 silver challenges show as completed.
Cerberus Mastery:  Current Progress 0/21.  However 5/21 silver challenges show as completed.
Reaper Mastery:  Current Progress 0/18.  However 2/18 silver challenges show as completed.
Geth Mastery:  Current Progress 2/18.  However 9/18 silver challenges show as completed.

As you can see, it is still impossible for any further completions.  Personally, if my current progress into those 4 could be zeroed out without affecting the "Number of times completed" information and without affecting the current ability to show the banners, that'd be fine with me.  It'd be annoying for those who have significantly made progress into a second regrind, but at this point, I'm not sure what else could be done.

As a side note, killing Reaper Husks was painful enough when you only needed one of the three silver challenges to complete Reaper Mastery.  For those that haven't completed it yet, requiring 450,000 points may be the single toughest points requirement in any of these five challenges (second is probably Cerberus Guardians).  Although solo grinding the first few waves of any gold level against Reapers can be a bit faster than normal Reaper full extraction grinding, I'm sure the intention was that grinding Waves 1 through Extraction repeatedly would finish all points at around the same time.  My recommendation is to lower the points requirements for Reaper Husks (and by extension Cerberus Guardians).  Possibly 100k, 200k, and 300k instead of 150k, 300k, and 450k would be more reasonable.

...,and while you're at it, perhaps Cerb Nemesi, as well as Collector Abominations.

Those two, as well as Guardians and Husks as mentioned, need a definite point total rethink under the new system, heck an an argument can even be made for Centurions.

Rest of Reapers looks good, aside from Husks (suggest 40/80/120 for Husks)

All of Geth looks good as-is (well balanced)

Collectors are fine, except for Abominations as noted, perhaps a slight tweak to 80/160/240 for them.

Nemesi and Centurions I'd make 100/200/300 instead.
Guardians I'd make 70/140/210 instead.

Just to keep them all roughly evenly balanced.

Seeing as this is a question and answer thread, I was wondering if Med-gel capacity, missiles capacity etc would ever get a 'max unlocked' bar in the HQ-in the same way that it shows it for the characters, gear, mods and weapons. Whilst it is useful and all saying you have 'x' you can use per game, I feel it would be infinately more useful if I knew if I had the max avaliable or not. I have seen posts ranging from 5-7 as to how many is the max capacity, on different sites, and with it having started originally at 10, any of these could be true as far as I'm aware. Thanks.

P.s. Sorry If this has already been answered-its a long thread to look through and I may have missed it if it was.

I recently got the survival medals to a full 100 but for some reason it didn't complete the challenge or grant me challenge points for it. The progress on it shows 100/100 and times completed 0 :(

I have a question, I got tech mastery a few days ago, I skipped 3 of the challenges and still got it. Not it says I have to do ALL the challenges for each banner, is that the case or can I still skip a few on each one because I REALLY do not want to use that glorified squirtgun of a geth rifle.

who does this really help? What have the players done do deserve this? Melee Damage Use 3 reguires 1.000.000 points, with ~50.000 points per game that's 20 games. Grenade points are 300.000. Yeah that's fair! Many got their Dog of War before this change, and I'm stuck with this.

And Geth Mastery is still unchanged. If I finish 3 Geth faction Silver challenges it would state 9/18 progress, everything will be 100% and then what? (Have finished Geth Gold challenge once.)

I don't know how much I can take this anymore..

Do the weapon challenges that have multiple tiers but are in different masteries have the same problem that the fixed masteries do or are they safe because they are in different masteries?

Edit - Ex: Harrier in the Assault Rifle mastery and in the Rebellion Mastery. 
If you have points left in the Rebellion challenge, but have completed the Assault Rifle challenge will the Rebellion one continue until completed and then reset or will the same bug with the other masteries happen? (Trying to make my question clearer)

Basically the way it works is this, each challenge has multiple components, the challenge itself, the parent challenge, and the progress tracker.

The bug is that anything that uses the same progress tracker will become bugged once you complete the parent challenge (ie gold). The only challenges that use the same progress tracker for multiple silver level challenge is:
5 challenges we altered, Promotions, Weekend Challenges, Biotic/Tech explosions.

Promotions already required all the silver level ones
Weekend Challenges are different (wont be saying more than that)
Biotic/Tech, its possible to get into a bugged state but 1) its possible to get yourself out of that 2) we find it quite likely people will complete the 3 tiers as part of the gold

Thanks Bryan. I believe I understand the mechanics better now, and I assume that while there are multiple challenges for one gun in different masteries that they have their progress tracked seperately so the same problem won't occur.
