Just FWIW, while you guys are getting creative about ways to make this better for the players, please try and come up with something to mitigate the insurmountable wall that is the "Grabs" challenge for Combat Mastery. I was certain I would complete this challenge next, but I don't think I can muster up the will to grind out 250 grabs :(

Please don't pay attention to this post, it is all ok on that side of things.

On a serious note: This is that same thing that happened with Cerb,Reaper,Collector,Geth and Combat Mastery Banners. You didn't need all the challenges unlocked in order to recieve the banner, still wish i got my Reaper one before they changed it all.......too many husk points to get now

Wait, we had 15 operations. Beachhead was without comm pack (just 25% Experience Bonus for playing) and we got promotion weapon in Victory pack once (after one of the operations), right? You sure cap isn't 15? :huh:


Also, what about new operation for this week? We usually had an announcement on Wednesday, and today is Wednesday.

I would love to get retroactive challenge points for all the promotions I've done in the past. I stopped promoting quite a while ago.

So that means I somehow lost a promotion weapon and haven't noticed the loss...

250 grabs are actually manageable, you need to remember that these challeges are not meant to come easy. Just try taking it one game at a time and work on timing for grabs. Try playing on Ghost agaisnt Geth. There is a lot of grab-enabling cover and the geth love to hide. I have been averaging over 20 grabs on solo silver and bronze runs.

I know you're working on a plan to make husks easier to manage, is something similar being done for guardians? Or should I start playing a lot more bronze games since bronze extraction is the most reliable source of them? (At least from the games I've played, the only consistent source besides trying to draw out some objective waves is that, anyways)

If you leave a game in the middle of it (or are disconnected) do you still get credit for points earned toward trophies?

If yes could you please apply this to credits and experience also? I hate getting disconnected on wave 11 and losing all my gained experience consumables and credits.

I can say from personal experience that the points are tallied real-time, so even if you lose the connection or whatever, you don't lose anything.  Although I would LOVE credits and XP to be like that too, the simple fact of the matter is, those are team based (and thus tallied and awarded after), while the points are individual (based soley on your actions, and thus can be credited during a game).

Hi Bryan!

At some point, will the Collector Sniper Rifle, Collector SMG, and Krogan Adept be added (respectively) to Sniper Rilfe Mastery, SMG Mastery and Retaliation Mastery? It seems weird that they don't have double challenges, so I'm holding off committing to them at the moment.

Several other people also posted in other threads to express their disappointment about the type of challenges, that they are mainly just grinding-type not real challenges, i.e. you can get them all if you just keep playing enough.
I feel the same way, and would like to make a few suggestions, just as ideas what could be added as more fun challenges:

  • Completing games using melee-only
  • Completing games using power-only
  • Completing games using weapon-only
  • Completing games using no consumables
  • Get 5-10 head-shots in a row (not killing enemies in other ways between)
  • Complete game against cerberus such that they never deploy a single
    turret during the game (i.e. kill the engineers before they can set one
    up).
  • Complete objectives without killing any enemy (until the objective is complete)
  • Get unusual kills such as: Your-name [Atlas] Banshee (other insteresting ones would include supply pylon)

Strange note:

My Turian Soldier (the original one with Marksman) gets a popup notification for waves survived after every single wave (meaning. the popup will occur 10 times per match, increasing by 1 each time). I haven't noticed this happening with any other waves survived challenge. The rest seem to only popup at certain percentage benchmarks like every other challenge, but not this guy. Not sure if this is just me or not.

Not sure if this is somehow related to having the bugged Turian Havoc challenge completed, or if he just has the wrong notification frequency (like the extraction challenges which do pop up every time you add to the value)..

It's not really a terrible issue, as it doesn't effect performance, but it does seem unintended.

- Fixed an issue where extracting with the new Retaliation kits was not registering certain challenges.


...meant that the Turian Ghost + Havoc problem was fixed? Because my Turian Ghost has the full 100% in the Commando mastery challenge but it's still not registering it.

They've changed the number of accomplishments needed to get the enemybanners and combat mastery, because you can't complete it a second time( uncompleted series do not reset, but previously obtained levels do not count either) which is logic,But I've gotten two of those and my **** hasn't reset, so I still can't get it. What now?

I couldn't find a line for Barrier. Has it been forgotten, or is it on purpose? After all, it's the biotic equivalent of the tech armor, and this one has a challenge.

Other than that, I like the challenges.

Have a ps3. Are they not announcing weekend challenges on the forums? Will ps3 now get ingame notification of events?
