Well it seems that you can still travel to the unoccupied redcliffe after getting the quest "the final battle".

if you look at the map, you can see that there are two redcliffe icons overlapping each other.



the one in the rear is the old undestroyed redcliffe after you saved connor, to which you can travel without any problems, if you are able to click on it.



i'm not quite sure why they aren't overlapping eacht other perfeclty, maybe it has something to doe with the resolution?

and no i don't use unofficial mods
