The whole 2 hazard levels a week thing sounds pretty, for lack of a better word at the moment, stupid.

If people don't want a hazard level, or are not ready to play one, then they shouldn't be using the unknown option. Personally I'd love to see more hazard maps. Especially one for Hydra, and maybe Condor.

-Oh hey you've posted recently. Can you give me the reason for only keeping in 2 hazards a week?

A) Try not to be impolite when the devs are kind enough to answer our questions.  Jos doesn't have to do this QnA.

B) He's answered this question before.  Why don't you got try to find it.

How on earth was I being impolite? I asked a question, and gave my reasoning for using the word "stupid". Sorry for asking a question again, officer. I didn't know you'd flip a lid over it.

YOU SHOULD APOLOGIZE.:police:

Seriously though.  Jos has given a reasonable explaination for it about 5 times. Calling their decision stupid is artless and unproductive.  And impolite.

From this point on I am going to take this as a joke.

I explained why I used the word stupid, yet you keep ignoring that and try to drive a point that isn't there. Just curious, am I supposed to be taking you seriously? If the guy has answered the question already, then that's great. I'll try and find that answer, however atm I am busy going back and forth between you and SA2B.

That part was a joke.

Maybe English isn't your first language? Stupid is not a very complimentary word. By calling their decision stupid your calling them stupid too. At the very least it's not going to make Jos more inclined to continue this QnA.

Understanable on the joke part.

However again you ignore what i've said before. It was for lack of a better word at the time. I'm also finding it pretty hilarious that you go out of your way to call someone out for typing the word stupid, yet you yourself have been typing some things that aren't exactly encouraging.

This is getting pretty off-topic though. If you want to actually make a point that is legitimate, do so quickly. Otherwise just send me a message or something.

Nevermind. My point is right there in all three of my posts. If you don't see it by now, you're not going to see it. Peace.

The issue is I see the point, however you keep ignoring mine. You persist on not addressing it.

Assuming the rotation continues, would it be possible to have the hazard version of the map replace the traditional one, for the week it is in play? Speaking for myself as someone who plays mostly u/u/g, I've been feeling a bit of map fatigue, particularly with Reactor. Hazard Dagger plays sufficiently differently that it avoids that particular trap, at least in my opinion.

Thanks for the hazards.
Really nice addiction to the game.
I'm all pumped for hazards on EVERY map released AND I suggest to use the hazard as a level feature, so that when you create the lobby you can activate/deactivate it.
I suggest 10% more credits, like with the extraction because we need money more than XP.

And, as the poster above says, if you're going with rotation (again I would like to have all the maps with hazards at disposal anytime), it would be nice to be able to play the weekly featured map(s) only with the hazards.

@ Scruffaluphagus

Our bioware guy already gave us the answer to that more than once:
HE DOES NOT KNOW, but since this is a weekly rotation and the DLC came out last week tuesday (9th October 2012 if I remember correctly), ==> next 2 hazard maps come out 16th October

And one Question:
(i know, it may be stupid, but I only wanna be sure)

We do have a rotation of hazard maps... Does this mean we also have a... rotation of characters, meaning do we loose the unlocked characters (like turian havoc soldier) when the rotation switches (I'd really love to know)

thx in advance

Can we see any changes to the other maps in both design and hazards? This also includes DLC maps too.

The hazards are really fun, a new twist that reinvigorates the old maps. Is there anything we (as a community and individuals) can do to promote more maps to be turned into hazard maps? ( I know the original six are going to go through a rotation, but are you looking at how often these maps are being played to determine if it is viable for other maps?)

Good question. It's not very easy setting these hazard versions of levels up , but never say never. Play the hazard maps, see if you enjoy them. Let us know what you think! There are no guarantees either way that we would make more hazard versions of levels, but it's safe to say that demand informs supply. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]

There is plans, to change other levels ? Like Ghost or Giant ? I mean here changes like in White and Glaicer.

Currently no. A bunch of us actually looked at all 6 of the original levels to see if there was anything that needed to be adjusted to fix flaws with them, and only really Glacier and White seemed to have layout problems significant enough to adjust.

I would like to say I think the Hazard maps are a great addition but why dont they give us a bigger credit reward if we have the settings set to Unknown/Unknown?

Is it also possible to allow the enemy to push the button in Hazard Reactor? I mean you said there is that voice warning that will warn us so in Theory we would have time to dart out of there, it would make the map alot more fun since Hazard Reactor is my favorite version of Reactor now. Never like Reactor map until its Hazard version, I do hope DLC maps get Hazard maps in the future.

Also how will Hazard Maps work in future N7 weekend Operations, is it possible for you guys to have a Hazard weekend where all the normal versions of the existing Hazards maps get replaced by their Hazard counterparts/ are all there to use for such an Operation?

Don't know if you are aware of this, and it may have existed prior to FB white changes had volus existed before this...but at the LZ where the fighter ship rests is a flaw that wouldn't be noticable without volus.

That fighter actually sits on a cylindrical inner object, like the bullseye of a target. The outer ring is where most people stand. It is possible for the volus to fall through and rest on the level below where normally troops might spawn (but they spawn on the outer part of that subfloor/rectangle). Anyway, the volus is now stuck below the fighter, trapped in this cylindrical cutout below the fighter. Death won't get him out.

Was the LZ area changed? It really looks like a dying volus can slip through the crack where that inner circle meets the outer circle. I do have screenshots and video of it.

The LZ has not been changed at all, but that's a very interesting issue. Will add it to the bug database.

My theory is that if someone taller than volus falls through they won't fit...but the volus is short enough to go under. Perhaps if the space were filled between that rectangular level that players don't normally see (enemy spawns from the outer edge of that level when they go to the LZ) it wouldn't be an issue. It's even possible that a volus player would have to die right on the intersection between the inner circular pad supporting the fighter and the outer pad. I didn't start shooting video of it until I revived and was already caught under the fighter, so I'm not exactly sure if the death was right on that boundary or not. Hmm...new gear item for volus: Elevator shoes.

I think the hazard reactor should close by itself, instead of someone pushing the button. Right now the Reactor map doesn't seem very hazardous to me. It's almost the same as the normal one. Radiation, like in SP... now that would've been interesting.

I like the Hazard maps more than normal ones and I do wish that we could get more than two per rotation. Hopefully also other Hazard elements like fog, thunderstorm etc. :)

It's alright if you disagree with it. That's important to know. The hazards are 2 a week right now because we wanted to try something new and see if it sticks.

The choice is there for people to either go with the hazard version or the original. The hazard versions of available levels are taken into account in the Unknown level selection setup. It is not likely to happen that regular versions of levels become unavailable when their hazard counterparts are available.

No rotation of characters that I'm aware of. Characters are not going to re-lock.

I do not know. It's not a bad idea, and I will suggest it to the people who deal with this tomorrow.

It is not possible for enemies to also press the button.

I do not know how the hazard maps will factor in specifically with the weekend challenges, but there is a chance they might, so we'll see. :)
